Marantz CINEMA SERIES 2 Elevates the Premium Home Theatre Experience

Marantz has unveiled the CINEMA SERIES 2, the latest evolution of its premium home theatre receiver range. Building on the company’s award-winning CINEMA platform, the new generation comprises three models — the CINEMA 50 SERIES 2, CINEMA 60 SERIES 2 and CINEMA 70 SERIES 2 — with improvements spanning audio performance, connectivity, gaming and installation flexibility.

CINEMA 70 SERIES 2

At the heart of the upgrade is a new 32-bit, eight-channel DAC architecture, designed to deliver greater precision, detail and immersion. Each model retains the signature Marantz sound and is carefully tuned by the Marantz Sound Master, with enhanced surround performance aimed at making movies, music and games more engaging.

More Immersive Sound
The CINEMA SERIES 2 continues Marantz’s focus on premium home theatre performance while introducing refinements designed to extract more detail from today’s high-resolution entertainment.

CINEMA 50 SERIES 2

The flagship CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 features nine channels of amplification and 11.4-channel processing, giving enthusiasts greater flexibility when building sophisticated surround sound systems. It also introduces Dolby Atmos Channel Expander and offers full support for Dirac Live room correction, allowing users to optimise audio performance according to the acoustics of their listening space.

CINEMA 60 SERIES 2

The CINEMA 60 SERIES 2, meanwhile, gains the new 32-bit DAC alongside DAB+ digital radio and is Dirac Live Ready, providing a more accessible route into advanced room optimisation.

Smarter, More Connected Entertainment
Connectivity also receives a significant upgrade across the new generation. The SERIES 2 models feature an enhanced HEOS platform, extending the receivers’ capabilities as part of a connected home audio system.

Marantz is also introducing low-latency Bluetooth LE Audio, which will be enabled through a future firmware update on supported models. Other additions include Web Control 2.0 for easier system management and HDMI Diagnostics 2.0, designed to simplify troubleshooting and installation.

These improvements are intended to make the receivers easier to integrate into increasingly connected entertainment setups, whether they are being used as the centrepiece of a dedicated cinema room or a multi-purpose living space.

Built for the Latest Gaming Setups
Gamers also get some notable upgrades. The new receivers add support for 1440p pass-through and AMD FreeSync, helping compatible gaming systems deliver smoother visuals and reducing interruptions to gameplay.

Together with the series’ surround sound capabilities, the gaming enhancements allow the receivers to serve as an entertainment hub for both cinematic experiences and high-performance gaming.

Three Models for Different Spaces
Sitting at the top of the range, the CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is aimed at enthusiasts looking for a more expansive home theatre setup. It will be available in Black and Silver Gold finishes from October 2026, with an RRP of €2,100.

The CINEMA 60 SERIES 2 balances premium performance with a more streamlined feature set, including the new DAC, DAB+ radio, Dirac Live readiness and enhanced connectivity. Finished in Black, it is scheduled to arrive in September 2026 at €1,450.

For smaller living spaces, the CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 maintains Marantz’s slimline approach while gaining the new 32-bit DAC and upgraded HEOS platform. It is designed to deliver a premium AV experience without the physical footprint of a traditional full-size receiver and will be available from October 2026, priced at €1,100.
