NXT Angel Campaign 2023, an event that celebrated the power of female lifestyle tech writers. The event took place at the exquisite Wooloomooloo Steakhouse and was a night filled with excitement, networking, and the promise of free subscriptions to NXT magazine for our voters in both Singapore and Malaysia. This groundbreaking campaign served as a platform to recognize the emerging voices in the tech journalism world.
From July 15th to August 15th, 2023, tech enthusiasts from Singapore and Malaysia had the opportunity to cast their votes for the next female lifestyle tech writer. The campaign drew a total of 5,127 votes, highlighting the tremendous interest and support from the community. As the voting period came to a close, the excitement only intensified as everyone eagerly awaited the announcement of the results, scheduled for September.
The event itself was nothing short of spectacular. Hosted at the Wooloomooloo Steakhouse, renowned for its panoramic views and sumptuous cuisine, attendees were treated to a memorable evening. The NXT Angel Campaign was made possible thanks to the generous support of sponsors such as Lenovo, AMD, Bold, Canon, Shure, Travelmall, Malt & Wine Asia, and Wooloomooloo who played a vital role in making this event a success.
Five talented contestants, Khloe Lim, Chong Yu Qing, Megan Lee, Sarah Wu, and Wong Yuan Li, were present to showcase their passion for tech journalism. These young women proved that the world of technology reporting is not exclusive to men, breaking stereotypes and inspiring others with their dedication and talent. In an exciting twist, Khloe Lim emerged as the well-deserved winner of the NXT Angel Campaign 2023.
One of the highlights of the evening was the lucky draw, where three fortunate attendees walked away with premium whiskey prizes, courtesy of Malt & Wine kind sponsorship. This unexpected twist added an extra layer of excitement to an already thrilling event.
