Now, TAG Heuer celebrates that enduring racing legacy with the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf, the fourth collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker and the iconic oil brand. Blending race-inspired design with high-performance materials, the limited-edition timepiece pays tribute to endurance racing while delivering a thoroughly modern mechanical chronograph.
A Racing Icon Reimagined
The partnership between TAG Heuer and Gulf draws on decades of shared motorsport heritage. Gulf’s distinctive blue-and-orange racing livery became legendary on endurance racing machines at Le Mans and was immortalised on screen by Steve McQueen in the classic film Le Mans.
TAG Heuer, long associated with precision timing in motorsport, once again brings these visual codes to the wrist in a watch that captures the energy and intensity of the racetrack.
Instantly Recognisable Design
The new Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph does not attempt to blend in. Its black opalin dial is framed by a striking blue chapter ring, while the iconic Gulf racing stripes run vertically across the dial in pale blue and orange. Three chronograph sub-dials, skeletonised hands and sharper racing-inspired hour markers reinforce the watch’s instrument-like appearance while maintaining excellent legibility.
Surrounding the dial is a forged carbon tachymeter bezel, with each bezel featuring a unique surface pattern thanks to the nature of the material. A subtle orange ring between the bezel and case further ties the design to Gulf’s unmistakable colour palette.
Built Like a Racing Machine
Performance is more than skin deep. The 44mm case is crafted from sandblasted Grade 2 titanium, keeping weight down while maintaining exceptional durability. Black DLC-coated pushers, an orange-accented screw-down crown and a titanium bracelet complete the robust construction, while the screw-down caseback features a special Gulf engraving celebrating the collaboration. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres.
Powering the watch is TAG Heuer’s Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movement, paired with a date display at 3 o’clock and luminous hands and markers for readability in low-light conditions.
Limited to 1,000 Pieces
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf is presented in special packaging finished in Gulf’s signature blue and orange colours, reinforcing its racing pedigree from the moment it is unboxed.
Production is limited to just 1,000 pieces worldwide, making it one of the most exclusive models in the current Formula 1 collection.
Availability
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf (Ref. CBZ208B.BF0009) is available from 3 July 2026. It features a 44mm sandblasted Grade 2 titanium case, forged carbon tachymeter bezel, Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movement, 200m water resistance and a titanium bracelet.
