The story began in December 2023, when Manuel Emch, the creative force behind Louis Erard’s renaissance, crossed paths with Patrik Sjögren, founder of Sweden’s GoS Watches. With mutual respect for heritage, innovation, and individuality, the two visionaries found common ground in their pursuit of purposeful, artistic watchmaking.
What emerged from this meeting of minds is not just a timepiece—but a shared philosophy brought to life. One that harmonises the meticulous refinement of Swiss watchmaking with the wild, expressive force of a Swedish forge.
Steel, Snow, and Scandinavian Soul
At the heart of the Regulator X GoS lies a dial crafted from Damascus steel, a centuries-old material known for its organic patterns and resilience. The steel, shaped by the skilled hands of Swedish blacksmith Conny Persson, is transformed through a special bath treatment developed by GoS to enhance contrast—illuminating the grey tones while deepening the blacks.
The result? A dial that echoes the veins of Nordic forests, unique to each piece and shaped by the unpredictable nature of fire and steel. No two watches are ever the same.
Housed in a 39mm stainless steel case, the watch maintains Louis Erard’s signature regulator layout—a visual homage to classic horological design, elevated here by GoS’s elemental aesthetic. It’s a rare fusion of minimalism and mystique, of structured timekeeping and organic unpredictability.
