The AirPods 4 have quickly become my go-to earbuds for everyday use. From the sleek new design to the incredible sound quality, they fit seamlessly into my daily routine, whether commuting, working, or just relaxing with my favourite playlist.
Compact and Convenient
One of the first things I noticed about the AirPods 4 is the smaller, more compact case. It’s noticeably tinier than previous models, making it super easy to slip into my pocket or bag without taking up space.
Despite the smaller size, the case still packs up to 30 hours of battery life, which is impressive for something this size.
The addition of USB-C charging is a nice touch, and being able to charge it with my Apple Watch charger is surprisingly handy when I’m on the move – as well as a built-in speaker for Find My to help you keep track of it.
Audio Features That Stand Out
What makes the AirPods 4 special are the smart audio features. The Adaptive Audio seamlessly switches between ANC and Transparency mode depending on your surroundings, which I found super useful when moving between quiet and busy environments.
The Conversation Awareness feature is a clever touch. When I start talking to someone, the music automatically lowers so I don’t have to fumble with the volume.
My Workday Companion
For someone who’s constantly on the go, these AirPods have been perfect. On my daily commute to tuition, I love listening to music, and the AirPods 4 truly shine with Personalized Spatial Audio.
Additionally, the dynamic head tracking makes it feel like I’m right in the room with the artists. The sound is rich, detailed, and immersive.
In terms of work, these have also been a game-changer. I spend a lot of time in virtual meetings, and the Voice Isolation Feature makes sure my voice comes through clearly, even in noisy environments.
The force sensor on the stem lets me quickly mute or end calls with just a tap.
I’ve used the AirPods (Gen 2) for a long time, and I am surprised the ANC of the AirPods 4 matches up to it. The Airpods 4 also feel secure and comfortable, even after wearing them for hours.
If you’re deciding between the AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro, it comes down to personal preference. The AirPods 4’s open-ear design is great for long listening sessions and casual use. The AirPods Pro might still be a better fit if you tend to deal with things like sweaty ears that make in-ear buds less ideal. For me, the AirPods 4 hit the sweet spot – comfortable, light, and with just enough Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for everyday distractions.
The AirPods 4 have become an essential part of my day, whether I’m commuting, working, or just unwinding with some music. They offer a big step up, especially in sound quality and comfort, and the smart features make everyday use feel seamless.
