Apple Unveils Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2: Sleek and Powerful

Apple introduced two groundbreaking additions to its smartwatch lineup: Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

These watches offer cutting-edge technology, refined design, and new capabilities that make them the most powerful and intelligent watches in the world.

Whether users seek the sleek, everyday performance of Series 10 or the rugged, adventure-ready Ultra 2, Apple’s latest models set a new standard for wearable tech.

Apple Watch Series 10: Thinner, Smarter, and More Capable
The Apple Watch Series 10 is the thinnest and most advanced Apple Watch to date. At nearly 10 per cent thinner than its predecessors, it features a bigger, more advanced display and faster charging while maintaining its signature 18-hour battery life.

Powered by the new S10 SiP and a built-in 4-core Neural Engine, Series 10 enables a wide array of intelligent features, such as the double tap gesture, on-device Siri, and automatic workout detection. Important safety features like Crash Detection and Fall Detection, alongside enhancements in watchOS 11 such as the redesigned Smart Stack and Photos face, make this Apple Watch more powerful than ever.

Series 10’s 42mm and 46mm sizes showcase the largest display ever on an Apple Watch. With up to 30 per cent more screen area than older models, users can enjoy enhanced readability in apps like Messages, Mail, and Health. Additionally, the introduction of a wide-angle OLED display ensures better viewing angles and up to 40 per cent brighter visuals in select lighting conditions.

Series 10 introduces Apple’s first wide-angle OLED display, which optimizes light emission at wider angles for better visibility. This innovation results in a display that is 40 per cent brighter than Series 9 when viewed from an angle, making it easier to check information at a glance. The display also features a faster refresh rate, allowing users to see a ticking second hand without raising their wrist.

The Apple Watch Series 10 offers the fastest charging yet, thanks to a new integrated charging coil. Fifteen minutes of charging provides up to eight hours of regular use, while eight minutes offers enough power for eight hours of sleep tracking.

Ideal for water activities, the Series 10 introduces a depth gauge and water temperature sensor, making it perfect for snorkelling, diving, and swimming. With 50-meter water resistance and a new Tides app, users can monitor tidal information for surf spots and coastlines worldwide, while the Depth app automatically activates when submerged, displaying key underwater metrics.

Apple Watch Ultra 2: The Ultimate Sports Watch in Striking Black Titanium
For those seeking a more rugged companion, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the perfect partner. Now available in a striking black titanium finish, the Ultra 2 is designed for athletes and adventurers of all kinds.

With the brightest display Apple has ever created at 3000 nits, and up to 36 hours of battery life (72 hours in Low Power Mode), the Ultra 2 is built to withstand the most extreme conditions.

The Ultra 2 brings new features in watchOS 11, including the Vitals app, which tracks key overnight health metrics, and a new Tides app to monitor tidal information for surfers and swimmers. Its precision dual-frequency GPS and improved Action button customization options allow users to fine-tune their workout experiences. Whether hiking, cycling, swimming, or snorkelling, Ultra 2 offers enhanced support with features like Custom Workouts, water depth and temperature sensing, and detailed workout metrics.

A new Titanium Milanese Loop band adds lightweight elegance to the watch, perfect for water activities. Available in both natural and black titanium, this is the first metal band designed for the Apple Watch Ultra series.

The Action button can be customised to make it even easier to start a workout, switch between workout types during a Multisport workout, and more. With watchOS 11, users can now conveniently switch actions at any time by pressing and holding the Action button.

Audio from a range of apps can now playback through the two built-in speakers on Apple Watch Ultra 2.

For the first time, audio can play back through the two built-in speakers on Apple Watch Ultra 2. Just like with phone calls, users can listen to audio from a range of apps, including Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, and third-party apps — right from their Apple Watch.

watchOS 11: New Health and Fitness Insights
Apple Watch Series 10 comes with watchOS 11, which introduces new health features such as the Vitals app, providing key overnight health metrics and actionable insights. The Training Load feature helps users monitor how their workouts impact their bodies over time, allowing for better-informed training decisions.

Users can now customize their Activity rings by the day of the week and even pause them for rest days without affecting award streaks. Additionally, watchOS 11 brings new features to both models, such as a more intelligent Smart Stack, customizable Activity rings, and advanced health and fitness insights.
