Pursuing Productivity with the World’s Lightest Laptop Acer Swift Edge

Over the course of last week, Acer was kind enough to share with me their new Swift Edge which is currently the world’s lightest 16” 4K OLED laptop. Weighing at 1.17kg, it really comes as a surprise as its large size contradicts its weight. This makes carrying it around and about while on the move from a co-working space to another co-working space convenient. Though most laptops make things mobile, the weight usually causes strain either on the back, shoulders or arms. With Swift Edge being so lightweight, carrying it around is almost unnoticeable.

Aside from the weight, the Acer Swift Edge packs a robust operating core powered by AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U and AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 6650. When booting up laptops, the sound of the fan and processor is crucial to the experience. Sometimes, laptops sound like they are gearing up for the next F1 night race. Fortunately, the Swift Edge is pretty silent and very smooth when loading up applications.

Let’s also share about the Swift Edge’s display. With the 16” 4K OLED display, vibrant and vivid are the top two words that come to my mind when viewing the 4K footage of Japan. This will be such a treat for gamers and entertainment junkies alike. It’s almost cinematic to watch shows on the Swift Edge as it has a 92% screen-to-body ratio and is certified VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and TUV Rheinland Eyesafe.

Personally, I would highly recommend this for all my fellow working adults who are always on the move and need a laptop that is robust yet convenient. The Acer Swift Edge is retailing at $2,598 and $2,298 respectively for the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 processor and is available at Acer Singapore’s e-store, islandwide retail and marketplaces like Shopee and Lazada.
