GIGABYTE has unveiled X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, a new platform-level performance enhancement designed to maximise the capabilities of AMD Ryzen™ X3D processors without requiring manual overclocking or advanced tuning. Available through the BIOS on supported GIGABYTE X3D Series motherboards, the feature intelligently optimises processor, motherboard, and power delivery behaviour to deliver higher gaming frame rates and improved productivity performance while maintaining system stability.

Built around GIGABYTE’s Dynamic OC Engine, a dedicated onboard hardware controller and an optimised power delivery design, X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 dynamically adjusts performance based on real-time workloads instead of relying on conventional overclocking. This results in smoother gameplay, faster multi-core processing and more responsive system performance across a wide range of applications.

In GIGABYTE’s internal testing, the improvements are substantial. Modern titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 achieved up to 34% higher frame rates, averaging 382 FPS, while Cyberpunk 2077 recorded gains of up to 25% with an average of 297 FPS. Battlefield 6 saw up to 21% higher performance at 296 FPS, and Counter-Strike 2 reached an average of 816 FPS, representing a 12% increase. Productivity workloads also benefited, with Cinebench R24 Multi-Core scores improving by up to 13.8%, rising from 2,247 to 2,556.

X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 reflects a shift from traditional CPU-only optimisation to platform-level intelligence. By coordinating processor behaviour with memory performance, motherboard power delivery and system resources, the technology unlocks additional performance beyond what the processor alone can achieve.

To suit different workloads, GIGABYTE offers two performance profiles. Max Performance Mode is optimised for demanding multi-core tasks such as content creation, rendering and professional workloads, while Extreme Gaming Mode prioritises frame-time consistency and improved 1% low FPS for smoother gameplay in fast-paced titles.
The feature is available exclusively on GIGABYTE’s X3D Series motherboards and supports AMD Ryzen™ 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series X3D processors. Compatible models include the X870E AORUS XTREME X3D AI TOP, X870E AORUS MASTER X3D, X870E AORUS MASTER X3D ICE, X870E AORUS PRO X3D, X870E AORUS PRO X3D ICE, X870E AORUS ELITE X3D, X870E AORUS ELITE X3D ICE, X870E AERO X3D WOOD, X870E AERO X3D DARK WOOD, X870E EAGLE X3D WIFI7, X870 AORUS ELITE X3D, and X870 AORUS ELITE X3D ICE.
With X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, GIGABYTE continues to demonstrate how motherboard innovation plays an increasingly important role in unlocking the full potential of today’s high-performance AMD Ryzen™ X3D processors.
