In the first big consumer tech surprise of 2021, Samsung Mobile has gotten a drop on its smartphone rivals by announcing the Galaxy S21 5G series in mid-January, two months ahead of its traditional March showcase.
Samsung’s new flagship series comprises the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. All are 5G devices that share a new industrial design featuring a Contour Cut Camera housing and a metal frame, as well as an undisclosed (at launch) 5nm 64-bit Octa-Core Processor with 2.9GHz maximum clock speed (which should be the new Exynos 2100 chipset).
