JBL is refreshing its everyday headphone lineup with the new JBL Live 780NC (over-ear) and Live 680NC (on-ear), designed for all-day listening with a sharper focus on sound quality, comfort, and smarter noise control. Both models pack 40mm dynamic drivers with compound diaphragms, delivering clearer, more detailed audio across music and podcasts. Paired with True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0, the headphones use real-time processing and AI-trained algorithms to better filter out distractions, whether you’re commuting, working remotely, or just tuning out the world.
The redesign leans into both style and practicality. With slimmer, lighter builds, foldable designs, metal hinges, and soft-touch finishes, the new Live series balances durability with comfort. Colour options range from bold hues like Green, Purple, Blue, and Orange to more understated Champagne, White, and Black, giving users more ways to match their personal style.
Beyond listening, JBL is doubling down on everyday usability. Each model features dual beamforming microphones with AI-enhanced noise reduction for clearer calls, even in noisy environments. JBL Spatial Sound adds a more immersive layer for movies and content on the go, while customisable touch and button controls make switching between functions seamless. With support for Personi-Fi 3.0 and the JBL Headphones app, users can fine-tune their audio profiles to suit their preferences.
For added flexibility, the headphones are also compatible with the JBL Smart TX wireless transmitter (sold separately), enabling easier access to EQ controls, touchscreen functionality, and even in-flight entertainment connections, something frequent travellers will appreciate.
Battery life remains a strong highlight, offering up to 80 hours of playback without ANC (or around 50 hours with it), plus a quick 5-minute charge delivering an extra 4 hours of use.
Both models will be available from 14 April via JBL’s online and authorised retail channels in Singapore, priced at S$299 for the JBL Live 780NC and S$199 for the JBL Live 680NC.
