At the heart of the new iPad Air is Apple’s M4 chip, featuring an 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU. It delivers up to 30 per cent faster performance than the M3 model and up to 2.3 times faster performance compared to iPad Air with M1.

The new iPad Air now comes with 12GB of unified memory, a 50 per cent increase over the previous generation, along with 120GB/s of memory bandwidth. This allows for smoother multitasking and faster AI processing.
The 16-core Neural Engine is three times faster than that of M1, powering intelligent features such as searching text within images, transcribing notes, removing video backgrounds, and enhancing productivity apps. Combined with iPadOS 26, the device becomes an even more capable platform for modern AI-driven workflows.
Faster Connectivity with N1 and C1X
Connectivity receives a significant upgrade with Apple-designed N1 and C1X chips. N1 enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support, delivering faster and more stable wireless connections. Cellular models feature the C1X modem, offering up to 50 per cent faster cellular speeds while consuming less energy.
With 5G and eSIM support, users can stay connected easily whether on campus, travelling overseas, or working remotely.
iPadOS 26 Elevates the Experience
iPadOS 26 introduces a refined Liquid Glass design that dynamically responds to user input while maintaining the intuitive feel of iPad. A new windowing system improves multitasking, while a menu bar allows quick access to app controls.
The redesigned Files app enhances organisation with improved folder customisation, and the new Preview app makes it easier to view and mark up PDFs and images. Advanced audio controls, local recording capture, and Background Tasks further expand what users can accomplish on iPad.

The new iPad Air is available in blue, purple, starlight, and space grey, with storage options ranging from 128GB to 1TB. Pricing starts at S$899 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi model and S$1,199 for the 13-inch Wi-Fi model.
Education pricing begins at S$819 for the 11-inch model.
