Alienware is expanding its OLED gaming monitor range with two very different displays aimed at opposite ends of the gaming spectrum. The new Alienware 32 4K OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3226Q) prioritises high-resolution visuals for PC and console gaming, while the Alienware 25 560Hz OLED Gaming Monitor (AW2527HX) is built around extreme speed for competitive FPS and esports players.
The Alienware 32 4K OLED brings RGB Stripe Tandem OLED technology from the company’s larger 39-inch 5K OLED model to a more conventional flat 32-inch display. Its 3840 x 2160 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio make it suitable for both desktop PC gaming and current-generation consoles, particularly for players who value image quality and HDR performance.
The RGB Stripe Tandem OLED architecture combines a four-stack emissive layer with RGB stripe subpixels. Alienware says the approach improves brightness, colour purity and text clarity while retaining the deep blacks and rapid response associated with OLED. A polariser also helps preserve black levels when the display is used in brighter environments.
The AW3226Q reaches up to 1,000 nits of peak HDR brightness, carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and Dolby Vision certification, and covers 99 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space. Each display is also factory calibrated to Delta E<2 colour accuracy. For gaming, the monitor combines its 4K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms grey-to-grey minimum response time. NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync support are included, while HDMI 2.1 FRL allows compatible consoles to take advantage of the monitor’s high-resolution gaming capabilities. Alienware has opted for a flat panel rather than a curved design, accompanied by four-sided narrow bezels and its Nova Black finish. Height, tilt and swivel adjustment are provided, while an anti-burn-in algorithm monitors the OLED panel to help mitigate image retention. Alienware backs the monitor with a three-year warranty that includes OLED burn-in coverage. The second model takes a very different approach. Developed in collaboration with professional esports organisation Team Liquid, the 24.5-inch Alienware 25 560Hz OLED prioritises refresh rate, motion clarity and responsiveness over outright resolution. Feedback from Team Liquid players was incorporated during its development. Its headline specification is a native 560Hz refresh rate, the fastest Alienware has offered to date, paired with a 0.03ms grey-to-grey minimum response time and Full HD resolution. DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR13.5 provides the bandwidth needed for the monitor’s focus on low-latency competitive play. Despite its esports focus, the monitor still places considerable emphasis on OLED picture quality. Its panel reaches 1,500 nits peak brightness and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification. A matte anti-glare, low-reflectance coating is intended to keep the display usable under bright tournament and gaming-room lighting. Several physical features have also been designed specifically around competitive players. A telescopic stand provides more aggressive tilt angles, while height and rotation markers make it easier for players to reproduce their preferred monitor position when moving between setups. The compact base leaves more room for angled keyboards, and a dedicated esports button provides quick access to 4:3 and 3:2 aspect ratios. The Alienware 32 4K OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3226Q) will be available later this fall for US$699.99. The Alienware 25 560Hz OLED Gaming Monitor (AW2527HX) is scheduled for Q1 2027, with pricing to be announced closer to availability.
