Review: Acer Swift 14 AI Copilot + PC

The Ultimate Editor Sidekick

The Acer Swift 14 AI is light, powerful, and packed with features that genuinely make my job easier.

When I first opened the Acer Swift 14 Al, I could tell this wasn’t your average laptop. Sleek, ultra-light, and packed with Al features, it feels like it was designed for someone exactly like me, a journalist juggling deadlines, creative brainstorming, and way too many open tabs.

No doubt this is the expectation for its performance, after knowing that the Acer Swift 14 Al is powered with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor that can process up to 47 TOPS NPU AI Performance while generating over 300+ AI experiences.

After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say this laptop is a game-changer, especially for anyone in the publishing or creative industries. One of my favourite things about the Swift 14 AI is how portable it is. Weighing just 1.26 kg, it’s ridiculously easy to carry around, whether I’m heading to a meeting, working from a café, or just hopping between my desk and the couch. The aluminium chassis with diamond-cut edges feels premium and durable—so I don’t stress about tossing it into my bag with all my other gear.

And the battery life? Unreal. I can get through an entire day of editing articles, responding to emails, and even streaming some videos during lunch without needing to reach for the charger. It’s a relief to know I’m not tethered to an outlet, especially on those long editorial planning days.

As a tech journalist, my workflow involves a lot of juggling: researching, writing, editing, and reviewing visuals. The Swift 14 AI makes all of that feel effortless. The Acer Swift AI brings cutting-edge functionality to your fingertips. The real MVP here, though, is Microsoft Copilot+. This AI assistant has saved me so much time. Need help drafting an article intro or tweaking a headline? Copilot+ gives me smart suggestions that I can tweak to fit my style. And the “Recall” feature is a lifesaver—especially for someone like me who constantly forgets where I saw that perfect quote or stat. It takes snapshots of my screen as I work, so I can quickly pull up what I need without losing my flow.’

Editors working on multimedia-rich content would appreciate Acer’s AcerSense tools and Experience Zone. These features enable enhanced video calls with AI-powered noise cancellation, dynamic lighting, and optimised camera settings for team collaborations, ensuring every meeting is productive.

Now here’s where it gets cool, utilising CoPilot+ for decor and renovation. Chinese New Year will be happening early next year, so it is now time to put into consideration how my family can decorate our KTV room to host guests. Simply sharing a photo of the room and asking a prompt to CoPilot+, makes the ideation part of the decor way easier. It was seriously impressive that CoPilot+ shared ideas while explaining the significance of certain decor. It is like having a personal interior designer at your disposal.

It would have been great to test out CoPilot+ features on paint with CoCreator, but it is currently unavailable in our geography. Hopefully, it comes soon to Singapore as I am excited to see how fascinating using AI to design a room can be. Working in editorial means I’m constantly sharing files, uploading drafts, and jumping on calls.

The Swift 14 AI’s Wi-Fi 7 ensures I’m never waiting around for uploads or buffering during a meeting. Plus, it’s packed with solid security features like biometric login and local AI processing, so I know my files are safe—even when I’m working on sensitive pieces.

We say: Whether writing articles, managing a team, or visualising a dream kitchen for a home design story, this laptop keeps up with everything I throw at it—and then some. If you’re an editor or creative professional, trust us, you’ll want this in your arsenal.
