Continuing its commitment to rhino conservation, Hublot has once again partnered with SORAI (Save Our Rhinos Africa and India), the organization founded by former cricketer and Hublot ambassador Kevin Pietersen.

With their united mission to protect endangered species and the environment, Hublot introduces the Spirit of Big Bang SORAI, a 30-piece limited-edition timepiece that supports SORAI’s ongoing conservation efforts. This marks the fourth collaboration between Hublot and SORAI, reinforcing their shared belief that collective impact is key to safeguarding the planet for future generations.
United for Change: Hublot’s Commitment to Rhino Conservation
Despite SORAI’s impactful work in raising awareness and protecting rhinos, the species still faces severe threats. At the beginning of the 20th century, 500,000 rhinos roamed Africa and Asia, but today, this number has dwindled to just 27,000, according to the WWF. Poaching and habitat loss remain significant challenges, and critically endangered species such as the black, Javan, and Sumatran rhinos are on the brink of extinction.
However, the fight isn’t without hope. Thanks to conservation initiatives supported by SORAI, the population of Indian rhinos has grown from around 200 to 4,000 since the early 20th century, and black rhinos have doubled in number over the last two decades. Hublot’s ongoing support helps SORAI and its partners continue this essential work, empowering conservation agencies to make a lasting impact.
The Spirit of Big Bang SORAI: A Limited Edition Symbol of Change
The new Hublot Spirit of Big Bang SORAI is the first Spirit of Big Bang model created for the SORAI collaboration.

Its 42mm case is crafted from Hublot’s signature “warm grey” ceramic, reminiscent of a rhino’s skin, and was first introduced in the Big Bang Unico SORAI 2023. The watch comes with two straps: a grey fabric option and a black rubber strap featuring a distinctive grey and beige camouflage pattern.
At the heart of the timepiece is the HUB6020 Manufacture calibre, a hand-wound, skeletonised tourbillon with a five-day power reserve. Its asymmetrical design, visible through two sapphire crystals, features a time display at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator between 8 and 9 o’clock, embodying both precision and elegance.
Limited to 30 pieces, this watch represents Hublot’s commitment to leveraging its global platform for environmental awareness.
With the Spirit of Big Bang SORAI, Hublot continues to support conservation efforts, demonstrating that the luxury watch industry can be a powerful ally in the fight to protect our planet’s endangered species.
