Blizzard is kicking off the celebration with the global release of World of Warcraft: The War Within on August 27.
Early access will begin on August 23 at 6 AM SGT (UTC +8), allowing players to dive into the next chapter of Azeroth’s epic saga. This release is a key event in a year filled with Warcraft milestones, culminating in the first-ever Warcraft Direct later this year, where Blizzard teams will share exciting details about the future of the franchise.
In-Game Events Celebrating Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary
As part of the ongoing celebration, World of Warcraft will feature in-game events starting at the end of October, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the iconic game.
Players will have the opportunity to explore the rich history of Azeroth, earn unique rewards, and immerse themselves in the lore that has captivated millions for two decades.
Overwatch 2 and Warcraft 30th Anniversary Collaboration
In a nod to Warcraft’s 30th anniversary, Overwatch 2 is joining the festivities with the introduction of a brand-new skin for Widowmaker, transforming her into the legendary Sylvanas Windrunner.
This collaboration will be available to players in September, offering a unique blend of two of Blizzard’s most beloved franchises.
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred – Mercenaries Reveal Trailer
Adding to the excitement, Brent Gibson, Game Director for Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, unveiled the Mercenaries Reveal trailer. This new feature, which will be part of the expansion launching on October 8, introduces Mercenaries—ordinary people with extraordinary skills who will fight alongside players.
The expansion also includes new content like the Kurast Undercity, a multistage dungeon, and the Dark Citadel, a co-op PvE dungeon designed to challenge even the most seasoned adventurers.
