JBL is putting karaoke at the heart of its latest audio line-up with the launch of the JBL EasySing Mic Mini, a compact microphone that uses AI-powered technology to reduce or remove the original vocals from music in real time.
The new microphone arrives alongside the JBL EasySing Mics, PartyBox 330, PartyBox 130, PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus and PartyBox Encore 2 Plus, creating a wider ecosystem that ranges from portable content creation to full-scale home karaoke.
At the centre of the range is JBL’s Vocal Removal technology, designed to turn existing music into backing tracks without requiring users to hunt for separate karaoke versions of their favourite songs.
AI Turns Regular Songs Into Karaoke Tracks
The EasySing Mic Mini is the most portable expression of the idea. Small enough to be carried around easily, it is designed for spontaneous singing as well as social media and other content creation.
Its headline feature is real-time AI-powered Vocal Removal. Rather than simply switching vocals on or off, users can adjust their prominence, retaining the original singer as a guide, reducing the vocals for a more traditional karaoke experience or removing them to take over the performance themselves.
JBL is also offering the technology through the EasySing Mics, which provide a more conventional microphone setup better suited to duets, longer karaoke sessions and larger gatherings.
The EasySing Mic Mini is priced at S$219, while an EasySing Mic Mini Duo costs S$309. A pair of JBL EasySing Mics is priced at S$269. JBL notes that its Vocal Removal technology is intended for non-commercial use.
PartyBox 330 and 130 Turn Up the Scale
For users looking for considerably more volume, JBL is pairing its karaoke push with two new speakers, the PartyBox 330 and PartyBox 130.
Both feature JBL AI Sound Boost with Smart EQ Mode, which is designed to optimise audio output as music plays. The speakers also introduce redesigned dynamic light shows synchronised to the beat, reinforcing the visual element that has become a defining feature of the PartyBox range.
JBL has also simplified the physical controls. A redesigned top panel centres key functions around a single dial, providing quick access to volume, audio modes and lighting effects.
Crucially for karaoke fans, both models work with the JBL EasySing Mics, allowing users to build a larger dedicated singing setup around either speaker.
The JBL PartyBox 330 is priced at S$899, while the smaller PartyBox 130 costs S$599.
Two Mics Included for Portable Karaoke
JBL is also making its more portable PartyBox models increasingly karaoke-focused.
The PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus and PartyBox Encore 2 Plus now come bundled with two JBL EasySing Mics, effectively providing an all-in-one system that can be taken from a living room to an outdoor gathering.
Both are priced at S$699.
For users who prefer a more conventional wireless microphone arrangement without the EasySing setup, JBL also offers the PartyBox On-The-Go 2 and PartyBox Encore 2 with Wireless Mics.
Taken together, the new products represent a broader shift in JBL’s PartyBox range. Karaoke is no longer simply an extra microphone input on a party speaker; the company is increasingly building the experience into the wider ecosystem, from AI-assisted vocal removal to microphones and speakers designed to work together.
And with the pocket-sized EasySing Mic Mini at one end and the PartyBox 330 at the other, the new range is designed to scale from a quick solo performance or social-media clip to a considerably louder night of karaoke with friends.
