Polaroid Go Generation 3 Brings Analog Photography Back Into Focus for Gen Z

As younger consumers embrace slower, more intentional ways of living, Polaroid is introducing a camera designed to capture the moment without the distractions of modern technology. The company has unveiled the Polaroid Go Generation 3, the latest version of its pocket-sized instant camera, combining improved imaging performance with an ultra-portable design aimed at everyday adventures.

Positioned as the smallest instant analogue camera in Polaroid’s lineup, the Go Generation 3 arrives at a time when analogue experiences are making a strong comeback. From phone-free concerts and digital detoxes to the growing popularity of vintage aesthetics, Gen Z is increasingly seeking experiences that feel authentic, tactile and lasting. Polaroid believes its newest camera perfectly complements this shift, encouraging users to slow down and create physical memories instead of endless digital snapshots.

Despite its compact size, the Go Generation 3 is designed to deliver a significantly improved photography experience. The camera uses Polaroid film to produce small-format instant prints while retaining the brand’s iconic white-bordered look. Lightweight and easy to carry, it is built for holidays, music festivals, city explorations and spontaneous gatherings where capturing the moment matters most.

The new model also includes several user-friendly features that make instant photography more enjoyable. A built-in selfie mirror helps frame self-portraits with ease, while the self-timer makes group shots effortless. Creative users can also experiment with double exposure mode, allowing multiple images to be layered into a single print for more artistic results.

According to Stine Bauer Dahlberg, Chief Product Officer at Polaroid, the company focused on refining every aspect of the camera without compromising its portability. Improvements include an upgraded optical system, a more powerful built-in flash and better optimisation for close-up photography and selfies. The result is a camera that delivers stronger image quality across a wider range of lighting conditions while remaining true to the playful experience that has defined Polaroid for decades.

Beyond the technical upgrades, the Go Generation 3 also introduces a refreshed design that reflects Polaroid’s colourful personality. Available in five colour options, the camera is intended to be as much a lifestyle accessory as it is a creative tool, appealing to users who want their technology to reflect their personal style.

The Polaroid Go Generation 3 will retail for $159 and is available here.
