Canon Singapore Pte. Ltd. has successfully revived its iconic Canon PhotoMarathon, welcoming over 500 photography enthusiasts at Fountain Square @ Clarke Quay. The event, which has become a staple for photography lovers, returned with a vibrant atmosphere, allowing photographers to showcase their creativity and capture Singapore’s beauty through their lenses.
This year’s theme, “Every Lens, Every Age,” highlighted the diversity and creativity of participants, encouraging them to explore Singapore’s landscape and culture from unique angles.
Canon Singapore continues its tradition of fostering inclusivity by collaborating with APSN, a social service agency providing special education, vocational training, and employment support for individuals with mild intellectual disabilities. In an exciting milestone for Canon PhotoMarathon 2024, APSN beneficiaries participated in the student category, demonstrating their passion for photography. Zul Nuriman, a student from APSN Katong School, clinched the second prize for Theme 1, ‘Harmony,’ showcasing his impressive talent.
Canon’s partnership with APSN dates back to 2006, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to creating equal opportunities for aspiring photographers. Over the years, Canon has provided camera and lens equipment, organized photo outings with staff volunteers, and conducted workshops to boost confidence and nurture creativity among APSN students.
