The recent Dell Technologies Forum Singapore – AI Solutions Expo Media Tour was held at the MBS convention. It covers AI-driven innovation with the Dell AI Factory and Dell AI for Innovation and the Modern Workplace.
On May 21, 2024, Dell Technologies unveiled the Dell AI Factory, an expansive platform designed to accelerate AI adoption across industries. The Dell AI Factory provides a comprehensive AI solutions portfolio that spans from desktop to data centre to cloud, enabling organizations to quickly and securely harness the power of AI.
This initiative is supported by an open ecosystem of technology partners, allowing businesses to tailor AI applications to their unique needs, whether through traditional purchases or Dell APEX subscriptions.
The Dell AI Factory offers groundbreaking infrastructure and services, including the new Dell AI PCs powered by Snapdragon® X Elite and Snapdragon® X Plus processors, which integrate Microsoft’s AI experiences. Additionally, Dell introduced advancements in storage, data protection, and networking to support AI deployments, including the Dell PowerScale F910 all-flash file storage and the PowerSwitch Z9864F-ON, which significantly enhances AI performance.
A key component of the Dell AI Factory is its collaboration with NVIDIA, which delivers pre-validated, full-stack solutions to turbocharge AI adoption. Dell’s deep partnerships with companies like Hugging Face and Meta further simplify the deployment of AI applications, making it easier for organizations to leverage AI for various use cases, from chatbots to large language models.
InnovateFest: Inspiring the Next Generation of Technologists
In September 2023, Dell Technologies hosted the InnovateFest in Singapore, an inter-tertiary competition aimed at empowering students to develop innovative solutions for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs). This event, organized in partnership with the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), challenged students from seven Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to leverage technology to improve the lives of PWIDs.
The competition saw creative solutions such as Singapore Polytechnic’s SportyBuddies, a mobile app using Augmented Reality (AR) to foster social connections through sports, and Singapore Institute of Technology’s FoodFriend, an app designed to enhance the dining experience for PWIDs in hawker centres. Both projects exemplify how technology can be used to address real-life challenges and promote inclusivity.
Through initiatives like the Dell AI Factory and InnovateFest, Dell Technologies continues to demonstrate its commitment to driving innovation that not only advances technology but also creates meaningful social impact. As AI continues to transform industries, Dell’s comprehensive solutions and community-focused programs position it as a leader in both technological advancement and corporate responsibility.
