The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and electronicAsia, jointly organised by the HKTDC and MMI Asia Pte Ltd, opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Running from 13 to 16 October, the twin fairs bring together more than 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, showcasing innovations across consumer electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, smart living, immersive entertainment, electronic components and advanced manufacturing.
The fairs provide international buyers with a one-stop platform for sourcing products, exploring emerging technologies and establishing business connections. A key highlight this year is the debut of the Future Industries Zone, which focuses on five frontier technology sectors and emerging developments expected to shape the industries of tomorrow.

Speaking at the opening ceremony for the Future Industries Zone, Sophia Chong, Executive Director of the HKTDC, said the new zone reflects the council’s commitment to evolving its exhibitions alongside industry developments. It also supports Hong Kong’s ambitions to become an international innovation and technology centre, in line with the direction outlined in the Policy Address and the First Five-Year Plan.
Chong also highlighted the expanded RoboPark, which showcases the latest robotics technologies and their growing applications across industries and everyday life.
As a core member of the government-led GoGlobal Task Force, the HKTDC has also introduced the GoGlobal Connect Zone to help enterprises, particularly those from the Chinese Mainland, expand into international markets through Hong Kong. The zone connects businesses with professional services and practical support, reinforcing the city’s role as a superconnector and super value-adder for global expansion.
Beyond Hong Kong, exhibitors hail from the Chinese Mainland, Macao and Taiwan, as well as Asia-Pacific markets including Korea and Singapore. European participants include companies from Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Cyprus.
The fairs have also attracted international buyers on their opening day. The HKTDC has organised 130 buying missions comprising buyers from 65 countries and regions, creating further opportunities for businesses to connect with innovative suppliers and explore international markets.
Future Industries Zone debuts with five technology themes
The new Future Industries Zone is jointly organised by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA), with support from the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Led by major innovation and technology institutions, including Cyberport, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the zone brings together more than 100 exhibitors across five themes:
Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics and Future Wellness.
Visitors can explore cutting-edge technologies and application solutions, while a programme of thematic forums and networking events brings together representatives from government, industry, academia, research and investment to discuss opportunities in emerging industries.
At a thematic forum on 14 October, representatives and experts from global companies and organisations, including AWS, IBM, Lenovo and HPE, will share insights into cross-industry business transformation and innovation-driven technology development.

Other featured speakers include Professor Wang Yang, Vice-President of The University of Hong Kong; Dr Wang Jun, Deputy Executive President of Bank of China Group Investment Limited; and He Jun, Vice-President of TCL Industries Holdings Co., Ltd. They will discuss technology innovation, industrial development and emerging business opportunities.
GoGlobal Connect Zone supports international expansion.
The GoGlobal Connect Zone brings together professional service providers from the finance, legal, accounting and insurance sectors to help businesses navigate the challenges of entering overseas markets.
Services cover financing, intellectual property, logistics, regulatory compliance and risk management, helping enterprises, particularly those from the Chinese Mainland, access international opportunities through Hong Kong’s professional services network.
The fairs will also host forums focused on overseas expansion. On the afternoon of 14 October, representatives from OCBC Bank will share insights into the manufacturing ecosystem across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The session will help businesses assess the region’s economic environment, tax regimes, market trends and potential growth opportunities.
