Fujifilm Corporation is set to introduce the “INSTAX Pal™” on October 5th, 2023, adding another gem to its celebrated INSTAX*1 series of instant cameras. This compact palm-top camera is designed to accompany users on their photographic journeys, enabling spontaneous image capture regardless of location or time. With a palette of five distinct colours, the INSTAX Pal™ caters to a diverse range of lifestyles, ensuring that there’s a perfect match for every individual.
In tandem with the camera launch, Fujifilm is releasing silicone cases featuring strap carabiners in colours that complement the INSTAX Pal™, enhancing both style and convenience for users.
A 25-Year Journey: The INSTAX Instant Photo System
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the INSTAX instant photo system, a journey that began in 1998. Over time, this system has evolved, adapting to emerging trends and technologies. It has transformed from traditional analogue instant cameras into hybrid instant cameras and smartphone printers, expanding its appeal to a wide-ranging audience, including young enthusiasts and those in their middle years.
The INSTAX Pal™: Photography Redefined
The INSTAX Pal™ represents a significant addition to the INSTAX series. It distinguishes itself by focusing exclusively on photography, foregoing the printing function. This deliberate choice has resulted in a palm-sized camera that’s exceptionally portable and easy to use.
The INSTAX Pal™ is not just compact; it’s also packed with features aimed at enhancing the photography experience. The Standard mode, activated by a rear-panel shutter button, leverages a wide-angle lens to capture shots from unique angles, providing users with a level of creativity that can be challenging to achieve with smartphones. Additionally, the Remote mode enables seamless connectivity to smartphones via Bluetooth*3, facilitating real-time image previews and storage on the user’s device. The Interval mode, which captures images at three-second intervals, sets the INSTAX Pal™ apart by delivering unique photographic opportunities. Furthermore, the camera can establish a Bluetooth connection with Fujifilm’s INSTAX Link™ series of smartphone printers, enabling the creation of INSTAX prints from the images taken.

Moreover, the camera can automatically transfer pictures to a dedicated app via Bluetooth, allowing for easy sharing on social media, while capturing natural facial expressions and unexpected moments.
Expanded Shooting Possibilities with the Dedicated App
The dedicated app brings even more possibilities to the table, with features like Remote mode for real-time image preview, Interval mode for time-lapse photography, and a speaker for recording and playing voice or sound, adding a layer of fun to INSTAX photography. An intriguing feature called INSTAX Animation lets users create flipbook videos by combining multiple images, which can be shared digitally or printed.

To top it off, the INSTAX Pal™ seamlessly connects with the INSTAX Link™ series of smartphone printers, making it effortless to produce INSTAX prints, either through the dedicated app or direct Bluetooth connection.
Additional Features
Additional features include a built-in lithium-ion battery, offering approximately 240 frames per charge, rechargeable via USB Type-C. Users also have the option to save pictures internally or transfer them to the dedicated app, with an internal memory that can store up to 50 images, expandable with a microSD card (sold separately).
