The M5, M7, and the all-new M8, a 32″ UHD display with a SlimFit Cam and a smaller profile to make the screen nearly three-quarters thinner than prior versions, will be available in the 2022 Smart Monitor lineup.
All Smart Monitors may now be used as a home IoT hub, allowing customers to control and monitor smart home devices directly from the monitor via SmartThings Hub. Onscreen, users can see all of their gadgets in one place and customise settings according to their specific needs and habits, such as auto-dimming lighting at night. Voice control is also featured on the new Smart Monitor M8 and M7 series, allowing users to manage the monitor even when it is turned off by tapping on Bixby.
The new line-up is ideal for home offices since it includes an improved Smart Hub that allows users to connect to a variety of IT devices without the need for a PC. The Workspace User Interface brings all of the services needed to work together on one screen, allowing users to connect wirelessly to a Windows or Mac PC and take advantage of a variety of useful features such as Samsung DeX, content mirroring from a smartphone to the M8, Apple AirPlay 2, and the Microsoft 365 cloud service.
With more people splitting their time between home and work, integrated video conferencing solutions are becoming increasingly popular. The SlimFit Cam that comes with the Smart Monitor M8 is magnetic and removable, allowing you to connect it to the monitor while keeping your desk tidy and free of unsightly cords.
All Smart Monitors continue to feature Smart TV functions, allowing users to watch their favorite shows directly from the monitor using popular streaming apps such as Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix, Viu, YouTube, and other local OTT services.
The Smart Monitor M7 and M8 series, which have 4 times more pixel density than a full HD screen, are also included in the 2022 line-up, resulting in improved picture quality. Flicker Free technology and Eye Saver Mode are included in the Smart Monitor line to help prevent eye strain caused by long periods of computer use.
The M5 is retailing from S$548, M7 from $898, and M8 at S$1288 with special pre-order prices on the Samsung Online Store and major consumer electronics and IT stores from 8 April 2022. Pre-orders for the new monitors will begin from 28 March 2022 and end on 3 April 2022.
