The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Headset and ROCCAT Vulcan TKL Pro Keyboard Levelled Up My Game

Gaming has become an integral part of my daily life, and I am always on the lookout for the best peripherals to elevate my gaming experience. To me, gadgets such as headphones and keyboards are worthy investments for exceptional gameplay. Not just for gaming, I use my headphones very frequently while commuting to school too, so it has to be of good quality.

Having a premium wireless gaming headset is essential in my gaming setup. With Turtle Beach’s Stealth 700 Gen 2, I found a tremendous improvement in terms of performance, comfort, and style.

Firstly, I love how sturdy the headset is. It feels premium and durable. I also heard that it comes with a revamped hinge construction that is more sturdy than before, as well as a new metal-reinforced headband. It feels comfortable even when I play for long hours, and it is not strenuous on my ears. As Singapore is so hot and humid, I usually also face the problem of my headset becoming tacky. However, I did not face this problem with the Stealth 700 Gen 2. With its soft memory foam infused with a layer of Aerofit cooling gel, I am kept cool and comfortable while playing.

I am sure all you avid gamers know that audio and communication are key in games, especially in multiplayer team games. The Stealth 700 Gen 2 was delivered in this aspect. My friends complimented it on its quality, and how well it picked up my voice. It is also a flip-to-mute mic, making it seamless while switching it on and off, with variable mic monitoring.

What’s extra special about the headset is its Superhuman Hearing sound setting that allows me to hear small, game-changing sounds, where their team has researched to show that you can live up to 20% longer and win more. Now, I can hear crucial game elements like opponent footsteps and weapon reloads to set your game apart from the enemy team.

While using the headset, it feels as if my games, movies, and music are brought to life. Its 3D audio system and high-performance 50mm Turtle Beach proprietary Nanoclear speaker are specifically designed for this headset, offering increased spatial surround sound. For sound seeks, you can even customise your audio settings through the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app, with pre-set settings to choose from, such as bass boost or vocal boost.

Personally, the factor I find the most inconvenient about having wireless headphones is that I have to constantly charge them every few hours. However, the Stealth 700 Gen 2 has a 20-hour wireless battery life, which I think is one of the best in the market now. The Stealth 700 Gen 2 is also compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Nintendo Switch Via wireless USB transmitter.

Pairing my set-up with the ROCCAT Vulcan TKL Pro, I had an even more immersive experience. It is a tenkeyless keyboard variant of the award-winning Vulcan family. This smaller form factor means I have room for a larger pad and can use a bigger range of mouse movements, ultimately giving me greater accuracy.

Just plugging it into my desktop through a USB-C cable and downloading the drivers, its setup couldn’t be easier. ROCCAT’s new linear Titan Switch Optical recognises each of my keystrokes accurately, distinctly and with zero delays (very important especially when gaming). The keyboard is also reinforced by an aircraft-grade black anodised aluminium layer to make it extra strong and durable. It also features switch durability that lasts for 100 million keystrokes, which is twice the industry standard!

I also appreciate how there is a tactile volume dial and mute button that allows me to adjust the volume & mute/unmute on the fly. With fully customisable keys in the driver app Swarm, ROCCAT’s Easy-Shift[+] technology also allows me to add a secondary function to compatible keys.

Aesthetically, the Vulcan TKL Pro produces vibrant lighting displays in 16.8 million colours right out of the box, without the need for extensive configuration. It also syncs with other compatible AIMO products for state-of-the-art illumination scenarios that flow from device to device.

Ultimately, using both Stealth 700 Gen 2 and Vulcan TKL Pro has left such a lasting and good impression on me. I can see how they tie in together seamlessly to provide me with the best gaming experiences with their advanced technologies.
