Over the Chinese New Year holidays, I was lucky enough to win the Audioengine A1 from the team. We went around drawing pieces of paper and luckily, I took the slip with the word, Huat Ah! Below is a quick unboxing of the Audioengine A1. Enjoy!
Now I have been using the Audioengine A1 for the past week and no doubt it has been an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The Audioengine A1 comes with two speakers, one passive and the other active. To connect wirelessly, there are 3 simple steps. Switch the power on, turn the volume knob and get ready to play your favourite tunes. The Bluetooth connected easily and I had no difficulty setting it up the first time. Other than a wireless connection, one can easily connect the wire and vibe with the music.
For the past week, I have been playing music from Indie RnB to J-Pop and more. Initially, I was concerned about the size when placing it on my desk. There was no need for that stress as it fits snugly behind my desktop and at the corner of my desk. As for the audio payoff, just one word would describe it: Impressive. The music surrounds the room with high-resolution sound, allowing it to blend seamlessly with space.
For the music geeks, here are some important details about Audioengine A1. Firstly, it has built-in power amps wrapped in precision-tuned, hand-crafted cabinets. Secondly, it boasts audiophile-quality, aramid fibre woofers and ferrofluid-cooled silk dome tweeters.
All in all, I highly recommend the Audioengine A1 if you are looking for a quality wireless speaker system within a S$500 budget.
It is currently retailing at S$369 including GST at Audioengine LazMall, AV One, Headphones.SG, Isetan Scotts L3, Isetan Tampines L2, Takashimaya L3, Stereo Electronics, Swee Lee, Tekkie Geek SG and Treoo.com.
