Listening to music at its highest possible quality is the goal for every audiophile out there. It’s easy enough at home, when you’ve got sound systems set up around your house for perfect audio quality. When you’re on the go, it’s a little bit harder. That’s where the Chord Poly comes in. Well, the Poly and the Mojo, at least.
Let Poly And Mojo Work Their Magic For Your Music
Poly directly connects to Mojo’s award-winning audio processing technology to dramatically improve the audio quality of streamed music.
If you don’t know what Mojo is, it’s an advanced portable digital to analogue converter DAC/Headphone amplifier. It’s only the size of a pack of playing cards, but when paired with anything that plays music, it can make your music pop.
When you combine Poly and Mojo, your smartphone or tablet can become a portable ‘hi-fi quality’ music player. Your smartphone is the controller, with Poly and Mojo elevating the music that comes out of it.
Play Your Music, Your Way
Poly can also be used with computers and laptops, and can access networked audio stored on NAS drivers. If you’re the kind to listen to music in the comfort of your home or car, you can also plug it into your home or in-car audio system with auxiliary inputs.
Poly doesn’t just play music from other sources though. It comes with a Micro SD card slot, so you can fit in a Micro SD card into the Poly, and play from there. What size card, you say? Any size. Yep, any size.
You can connect it to Wi-Fi networks, or mobile hotspots if you’re on the move. Poly remembers multiple networks, so you don’t have to keep reconnecting each time. It also features its own hotspot mode, enabling a connection where devices, networks, or countries don’t facilitate tethering.
You never have to worry about it running out of juice on you either. Its rechargeable LiPo batteries offer up to 9 hours of playback from a four-hour charge. If you’ve got both Poly and Mojo, they can even be charged simultaneously!
Poly is high-resolution audio-compatible. It has support for the latest studio-quality files, PCM data up to 768kHz resolution and DSD64 to DSD256 (Quad-DSD). Supported file types include ACC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, OGG VORBIS, ALAC, WMA, and MP3.
If you’re too lazy to manually update your tech, you’ve got nothing to worry about here either. Poly offers over-the-air updates, keeping the unit up-to-date with the latest firmware. Future updates will include native Spotify and Tidal integration. A forthcoming Poly app, GoFigure, will assist with initial network set-up and device configuration settings.
Made In Britain, With Pride
Like Mojo, Poly proudly uses British design and technology, and is also made in Britain. It’s precision CNC-machined from solid aluminium billet, with black anodisation nad laser-ablated logos. A high-quality Mojo/Poly protective leather case is available separately.
Poly is available at AV One, E1 Personal Audio, Jaben, Stereo, Zepplin, and Lazada, with a SRP of $999.
