Samsung is bringing more artificial intelligence into the laundry room with the launch of its latest Bespoke AI Laundry Combo in Singapore, combining automated fabric care with touchscreen controls, voice assistance and connected energy-management features.
The new range consists of two washer-dryer models: the Bespoke AI Washer Dryer EcoBubble 21kg + 11kg (WD90F21BCSSP) and the more compact 11kg + 7kg WD90H11C4WSP.
At the heart of both is Samsung’s enhanced AI Wash+, which aims to take some of the guesswork out of choosing the right settings for each load.
AI That Knows What You’re Washing
Rather than relying entirely on users to select the appropriate cycle, AI Wash+ uses multiple sensors to analyse a load before and during washing.

The system can detect laundry weight and five different fabric types, with its fabric recognition capabilities now expanded to include Outdoor and Denim materials. It then automatically determines appropriate amounts of water and detergent while monitoring soil levels throughout the wash.
If necessary, the machine can adjust detergent usage and washing time along the way, balancing cleaning performance with more efficient use of resources.

Samsung has also included Flex Auto Dispense, which can be configured to accommodate two detergents or provide greater capacity for a single detergent. It can store enough detergent and fabric softener for up to 12 loads, or detergent alone for as many as 30 loads.
A 7-Inch Screen for Laundry
The traditional collection of buttons and dials also gives way to a more smartphone-like experience through Samsung’s AI Home Smart Screen.

The 7-inch LCD touchscreen acts as the machine’s control centre, providing quick access to cycles, settings and other information. Over time, it can remember usage habits and suggest cycles based on the user’s preferences.
After a wash is completed, homeowners can turn to the SmartThings app for laundry reports that provide information such as energy and water consumption.

The upcoming 11kg + 7kg model is particularly notable as it will be the first white Bespoke AI Laundry Combo equipped with the AI Home Smart Screen, providing another option for homeowners who prefer lighter-coloured appliances.
Just Ask Bixby
Samsung is also integrating its upgraded Bixby voice assistant into the laundry experience.

Users can issue natural voice commands to start a preferred cycle, add rinse or find out how much time remains without having to operate the touchscreen.
Bixby can even explain information currently displayed on the machine and provide spoken feedback, potentially making some of its more advanced functions easier to navigate.
Keeping an Eye on Electricity Use
SmartThings plays another important role by giving users greater visibility over how much electricity their laundry routine consumes.

Through SmartThings Energy, homeowners can monitor daily, weekly and monthly energy consumption as well as estimated electricity costs.
When compatible cycles are used, AI Energy Mode can reduce energy consumption by up to a claimed 60%. It achieves this with Samsung’s AI Ecobubble technology, which enables washing at lower temperatures while adjusting the cycle duration when necessary.

For busy households, these connected features make the appeal of the new machines less about AI for its own sake and more about reducing the amount of attention that has to be given to an everyday chore.
