The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i FIFA World Cup 26 Edition’s World Cup branding caught my eye first. But beneath that is a seriously powerful gaming laptop.
Based on Lenovo’s Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 platform, this special edition forms part of Lenovo’s FIFA World Cup 2026 collection, created as they serve as FIFA’s Official Technology Partner.
My unit combines an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, alongside 32GB RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Built to Play
There is little attempt to disguise the Legion Pro 7i’s gaming credentials. The black chassis is sleek, while the per-key RGB keyboard and additional lighting give it plenty of visual presence.
The FIFA treatment adds some personality with the football-inspired trackpad. The Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 chassis starts at around 2.72kg.
Serious Gaming Hardware
The Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5070 Ti combination gives the FIFA Edition really high performance.
I put the machine through its paces with Black Myth: Wukong, which is exactly the sort of graphically intensive game that suits this hardware. The expansive landscapes, fine environmental details and elaborate character models looked excellent on the Legion’s OLED panel, while movement remained impressively fluid during play.
What stood out as much as performance was how well the display complemented the GPU. Rather than having powerful graphics feeding an average laptop screen, the Legion Pro 7i gives you a 16-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate.
I also spent time with Resident Evil, and if Wukong demonstrated the screen’s ability to handle bright, expansive environments, Resident Evil showed the opposite.
Dark interiors are particularly effective on OLED because individual pixels can effectively switch off to produce genuinely deep blacks. In dim rooms illuminated by small lamps, the separation between highlights and shadows helped create the sort of atmosphere a horror game needs.

The screen also proved excellent outside gaming.
Playing high-quality video highlighted its saturated yet convincing colours and impressive contrast, making the Legion a very capable laptop for movies and other visual content too.
Keeping the Power Under Control
Powerful gaming notebooks inevitably generate heat, and Lenovo uses its Legion ColdFront: Vapour cooling system with an integrated HyperChamber in the Pro 7i.
The laptop’s behaviour can be adjusted directly through Legion Space, which became one of the more useful applications during testing. Quiet, Balance, Performance and custom operating modes are readily accessible, together with GPU operating modes and RGB lighting controls.
There are also settings for adaptive refresh rate, screen burn-in prevention, Network Boost and machine-learning-based performance optimisation.
Lenovo Vantage offers another layer of monitoring. On the review unit,t it displayed battery health, charge cycles and temperatures, while hardware monitoring provided live CPU, GPU and fan information. The FIFA Edition configuration carries an 80Wh battery.
AI-powered
Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming part of the PC experience, and Lenovo has integrated it in several ways here.
AI Now separates its functions into Local Chat, Knowledge Assistant, PC Assistant and Cloud Chat. The PC Assistant can help surface system settings and troubleshooting options, while the Knowledge Assistant lets you import documents and query their contents.
I tried the latter with a PDF and was able to generate a document summary directly within the application. There is also a local AI mode for tasks that can be handled on the device, alongside cloud-connected functionality for broader queries.
Overall, the Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5070 Ti and superb 240Hz OLED display form an extremely capable foundation. The FIFA World Cup 26 branding gives this Legion Pro 7i a reason to stand out, particularly for football fans who want something more distinctive than the standard gaming laptop.
