ASUS Launches New ROG Strix and TUF Gaming Dual Mode 4K Monitors in Singapore

ASUS has announced the Singapore availability of its latest lineup of ROG Strix and TUF Gaming Dual Mode gaming monitors, introducing a new generation of displays designed to give gamers the flexibility of both ultra-high refresh rates and detailed 4K visuals in a single monitor.

ROG Strix XG27UCG Gen2 (XG27UCGR)

Leading the new lineup are the ROG Strix XG27UCG Gen2 (XG27UCGR), the ROG Strix XG27UCS Gen2 (XG27UCSR), and the TUF Gaming VG27UQEL5A. All three models feature 27-inch 4K Fast IPS panels with ASUS Fast IPS technology and an ultra-low 0.3ms response time (minimum), delivering smoother gameplay and sharper visuals during fast-paced gaming sessions.

One of the headline features across the new monitors is ASUS Dual Mode technology. This allows users to instantly switch between high-resolution 4K modes and ultra-fast refresh rate Full HD modes, depending on the type of game or content they are enjoying. Competitive FPS gamers can prioritise speed, while AAA gamers and content creators can enjoy detailed 4K visuals.

ASUS has also integrated its Smart Pixel technology into the monitors, which intelligently enhances visuals with advanced 4K upscaling. Even when running at lower resolutions, the technology sharpens detail and improves image clarity for a cleaner visual experience.

The flagship ROG Strix XG27UCG Gen2 stands out with support for 4K at 162Hz and Full HD at an impressive 485Hz, making it particularly appealing for esports enthusiasts who demand extremely high frame rates.

Meanwhile, the ROG Strix XG27UCS Gen2 offers 4K at 160Hz and Full HD at 324Hz, striking a balance between competitive gaming and immersive entertainment.

Both ROG monitors also feature ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync), which works alongside variable refresh rate technologies to minimise ghosting and screen tearing for exceptionally smooth motion clarity.

The XG27UCG Gen2 further enhances the premium gaming experience with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and 130% sRGB support, making it suitable not only for gaming but also for photo and video editing workflows requiring accurate colour reproduction.

Connectivity is equally robust, with the XG27UCG Gen2 featuring USB-C with 15W Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 support for consoles and multimedia devices. ASUS also highlighted the monitor’s compact footprint, designed to save valuable desk space.

For mainstream gamers, the TUF Gaming VG27UQEL5A offers a more affordable Dual Mode option. The monitor supports 4K at 80Hz and Full HD at 310Hz, switchable through a convenient hotkey. It also includes ASUS Smart Pixel technology, ELMB Sync and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

The TUF model additionally offers a 120% sRGB colour gamut, positioning it as a versatile display suitable for both gaming and creative work.

ASUS noted that the new launches further expand its growing Dual Mode monitor ecosystem, which now spans multiple ROG Strix, ROG OLED and TUF Gaming models catering to different user needs and budgets.

The ROG Strix XG27UCG Gen2 is now available in Singapore at a retail price of S$649, while the ROG Strix XG27UCS Gen2 retails for S$499.

The TUF Gaming VG27UQEL5A is also available islandwide and is priced at S$339.
