Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17e, a powerful new addition to the iPhone 17 family that delivers exceptional performance, smarter photography, enhanced durability, and double the starting storage — all at a compelling price.
Starting at S$949 for 256GB, the iPhone 17e offers twice the entry storage of its predecessor at the same price, and four times more than the iPhone 12. For users upgrading from older models, it represents one of the strongest value propositions in the current iPhone lineup.
Faster Performance with A19 and C1X
At the heart of the iPhone 17e is Apple’s latest-generation A19 chip, built on advanced 3-nanometer technology. The 6-core CPU is up to twice as fast as the iPhone 11, effortlessly handling everything from everyday browsing to intensive AI-driven tasks.
The 4-core GPU with Neural Accelerators enables console-level gaming, including hardware-accelerated ray tracing for realistic lighting effects. Meanwhile, the upgraded 16-core Neural Engine is optimised for large generative models, powering Apple Intelligence features more efficiently than ever.
iPhone 17e also debuts the new C1X mobile modem, up to twice as fast as the previous C1 in iPhone 16e. It matches the speed of iPhone Air while using 30 per cent less energy than the modem in iPhone 16 Pro, contributing to impressive all-day battery life.
A Durable Design That’s Built to Last
iPhone 17e features a lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium design with an IP68 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance.
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display now comes with Ceramic Shield 2, offering three times better scratch resistance than the previous generation, along with improved anti-reflective coating to reduce glare. With up to 1200 nits peak HDR brightness, the display remains easy to view even in bright outdoor conditions.
Face ID ensures secure authentication, while the Action button offers quick access to favourite features such as the torch and visual intelligence.
Available in black, white, and a new soft pink, all finished in a refined matte texture, the device balances elegance with resilience.
Advanced Camera System with Optical-Quality 2x Telephoto
The 48MP Fusion camera enables users to shoot at full 48MP resolution or at the default 24MP for an optimal balance between detail and file size.
Thanks to its sensor design, iPhone 17e delivers an optical-quality 2x Telephoto, effectively giving users two cameras in one. The enhanced image pipeline improves Portrait mode with more natural depth and smoother background blur. It automatically recognises people and even pets, allowing users to adjust focus after capture in the Photos app.
Video capabilities are equally strong. iPhone 17e records in 4K Dolby Vision up to 60 fps, supports Spatial Audio recording, and introduces improved wind noise reduction powered by machine learning.
MagSafe and Faster Charging
MagSafe returns to the “e” lineup, opening access to a wide ecosystem of chargers, stands, wallets, and camera accessories. Wireless charging now supports up to 15W via MagSafe and Qi2, compared to 7.5W on the previous generation.
With USB-C fast charging, users can reach 50 per cent battery in approximately 30 minutes.
Satellite Connectivity and Safety Features
When outside cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, users can rely on satellite-based features, including:

Crash Detection can automatically contact emergency services if a severe car accident is detected.

iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence
Running on iOS 26, iPhone 17e introduces a refreshed Liquid Glass design and expanded Apple Intelligence features, including Live Translation across Messages, FaceTime, Phone, and AirPods.
Call Screening and Hold Assist help reduce interruptions from unknown callers, while enhanced message filtering keeps conversations organised.
Sustainability and Environmental Impact
iPhone 17e is made with 30 per cent recycled content, including 85 per cent recycled aluminium in the enclosure and 100 per cent recycled cobalt in the battery.
It is manufactured with 55 per cent renewable electricity across the supply chain.
The packaging is entirely fibre-based and recyclable, aligning with Apple’s broader 2030 carbon-neutral goals.
Pricing and Availability in Singapore
iPhone 17e will be available in 256GB and 512GB configurations, starting at S$949.
Pre-orders begin Wednesday, March 4, with availability starting Wednesday, March 11.
Customers can also take advantage of Apple Trade In, receiving up to S$295 in credit when trading in eligible devices such as the iPhone 13.
