Inside RoboPark: 8 Cool Robots Bringing the Future to Life at Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2026 (Autumn Edition)

Robots are moving beyond factory floors, with advances in artificial intelligence (AI) enabling them to take on a wider range of tasks in workplaces and everyday settings. From humanoid machines to autonomous security systems, robotics is becoming increasingly versatile.

McKinsey’s report on the future of robotics explores how AI is helping robots become more adaptable and capable of handling complex tasks. Applications are expanding across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and consumer services, although cost, safety and reliability remain important considerations.

At the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), RoboPark showcases more than 120 robots across four key areas: Commercial & Services, Industrial & Logistics, Entertainment & Social, and Healthcare & Rehabilitation. With interactive demonstrations featuring robotic dogs, robot dance performances and automated food and beverage preparation, RoboPark offers visitors a closer look at the latest developments in robotics. Here are eight products that caught my attention.

1. PadBot S2: Autonomous Security Patrols
The PadBot S2 is an autonomous security robot designed for office buildings, hotels, airports, shopping malls, schools and factories. Its laser navigation system maps indoor environments, navigates around obstacles and carries out scheduled patrols before returning to its charging dock.

It features 1080p cameras, thermal imaging and smoke detection, with mobile app alerts for security managers. The robot operates at up to 0.88m/s in manual mode and offers up to 10 hours of operation on a nine-hour charge. Other features include a 180-degree adjustable head, a navigation range of up to 30m and integration with entrance guards and gate systems.

2. Linker Hand 06: A Lightweight Robotic Hand
Designed for automation, medical assistance and research, the Linker Hand 06 weighs just 370g and features six active and five passive degrees of freedom for flexible movement.

Despite its compact size, it has a stated load capacity of up to 50kg. The robotic hand is designed for manipulation tasks and integration into larger robotic systems, offering a combination of movement flexibility and strength for industrial and research applications.

3. EaseFuture Massage Robot R2: AI-Powered Massage
The EaseFuture Massage Robot R2 combines AI, visual perception, a 3D structured-light camera and a six-degree-of-freedom collaborative robotic arm to deliver personalised massage services.

Its treatment options include acupoint massage, shockwave therapy, radio frequency, cupping, moxibustion and fascia release. Dual-mode operation allows the robot and a human therapist to serve the same customer simultaneously. The platform also supports personalised health profiles, massage reports, AI-assisted staff training and consumable tracking.

4. DEEP Robotics Lite3: An Agile Quadruped Robot
The DEEP Robotics Lite3 is a four-legged robot designed for interactive performances, robotics development and movement across varied terrain. It supports manoeuvres such as handstands and upright balancing, as well as gestures including bows, heart signs and moonwalking.

Its specifications include obstacle clearance of up to 18cm, slope climbing of up to 40 degrees and a maximum load capacity of 7.5kg. It offers up to 90 minutes of continuous operation and a stated range of 5km. Additional features include obstacle detection, visual following, voice-controlled interaction, a built-in speaker and, on selected configurations, autonomous navigation. SDKs, APIs and OTA updates support further customisation.

5. NORTIX X-Head 1: A Humanlike Robotic Head
The NORTIX X-Head 1 is a biomimetic robotic head designed for realistic facial expressions and human-machine interaction. Available in Lite, standard and Ultra versions, it offers up to 30 degrees of freedom and a lightweight head unit weighing 2.1kg, excluding the neck.

Features include biomimetic silicone skin, lifelike hair fibres, RGB vision, microphones and dual speakers. Its multimodal AI supports real-time user tracking, eye contact, synchronised lip movements and expressive responses. Designed for applications such as reception services, showroom presentations, home companionship and smart home assistance, it also supports custom development through SDKs and the MoonBuzz app.

6. ENGINEAI PM01: A Humanoid Robot for Education
The ENGINEAI PM01 2026 Education Edition is a 44kg humanoid robot designed for education, experimentation and robotics development. It features 24 degrees of freedom, a 1.44m arm span, aviation aluminium construction and joint motors delivering up to 164Nm of torque.

The robot supports movement speeds exceeding 2m/s and is equipped with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB computing module, an eight-core CPU, 3D LiDAR and a chest-mounted touchscreen. It offers around two hours of battery life and supports quick battery replacement. Its open-source approach and secondary development capabilities allow students and developers to experiment with robotics programming and applications.

7. Haier W2: An AI Sports Exoskeleton
The Haier W2 AI Sports Exoskeleton Robot is a wearable device designed to assist walking, hiking, trail running and other outdoor activities. Weighing 2.57kg, it features dual high-torque motors, adjustable waist and leg straps, and AI gait algorithms that adjust assistance for different terrain, including gravel, sand, snow, slopes and stairs.

It offers a stated supported speed of up to 15km/h and maximum assistance of 16Nm per leg. With a dual-battery setup, it supports up to 40km of assisted travel. A magnetic buckle allows fitting in around 10 seconds, while its foldable design makes it easier to transport and store.

8. SENSEROBOT 2-in-One Chess & Draughts: AI Board Games at Home
