Ressence has unveiled the TYPE 11, a watch that distils the brand’s design philosophy into its most complete and accessible form to date. Positioned as a “watch of the now,” the TYPE 11 bridges traditional watchmaking codes with a distinctly modern approach, focusing on clarity, ergonomics and seamless integration.

Rather than pushing into futuristic extremes, the TYPE 11 refines what a contemporary mechanical watch can be. It carries familiar elements such as a round case and lugs, yet reinterprets them through Ressence’s signature lens. The result is a timepiece that feels grounded in the present, balancing innovation with everyday wearability.

The Grade 5 titanium case adopts a smooth, pebble-shaped silhouette, offering a refined and comfortable presence on the wrist. Topped with a domed sapphire crystal, the watch reveals a convex dial powered by Ressence’s patented ROCS display. Instead of traditional hands or indices, time is indicated through a series of rotating discs, creating a fluid and intuitive reading experience that has become synonymous with the brand.

Available in Pine, Sky and Latte colourways, the TYPE 11 introduces subtle personality through its finishes. Each variation is paired with a distinct ceramic power reserve indicator and complemented by a range of strap options, including a lightweight titanium Milanese mesh that enhances both comfort and visual cohesion.

One of the standout innovations is its patented power reserve display. Designed for intuitive use, it employs ceramic micro-balls in contrasting tones to indicate remaining energy. As the watch winds, lighter micro-balls appear while darker ones recede, reversing the effect as power runs down. This dynamic system transforms a traditionally static complication into something more engaging and instantly readable.

Powering the TYPE 11 is the Ressence Werk RW-01, the brand’s first in-house movement created specifically to support its ROCS system. Unlike conventional movements that prioritise decorative finishing, the RW-01 focuses on efficiency and reliability, reflecting Ressence’s commitment to functional design. Winding is performed via the caseback, eliminating the need for a crown and preserving the watch’s clean, uninterrupted form.
The TYPE 11 also marks a significant step forward in construction. Previous Ressence models separated the movement and ROCS module, but here they are unified into a fully integrated system. This integration enhances durability, improves energy efficiency and creates a more cohesive mechanical architecture.
Retailing at SGD 41,000 with tax, the Ressence TYPE 11 stands as a compelling statement piece for those who value thoughtful design, mechanical ingenuity and a fresh perspective on timekeeping.
