Sony has expanded its INZONE gaming ecosystem with the introduction of the new INZONE H6 Air gaming headset, alongside special Fnatic Edition gaming accessories and a striking new Glass Purple colour option for the INZONE Buds. The latest additions further strengthen Sony’s growing gaming gear portfolio, offering competitive gamers and enthusiasts more ways to personalise and enhance their gaming experience.

Headlining the announcement is the new INZONE H6 Air, an open-back wired gaming headset designed to deliver immersive audio while maintaining exceptional comfort during extended gaming sessions.
Open-Back Design Brings Games to Life
The INZONE H6 Air is built around an open-back acoustic architecture that creates a more natural and spacious soundstage. Unlike traditional closed-back gaming headsets, the open design minimises internal reflections within the earcups, allowing audio to be reproduced more accurately and creating the sensation of being inside the game world.

Sony says this approach enables players to experience sound exactly as intended by game developers, improving environmental awareness and immersion in titles where audio cues play a critical role.

The headset utilises specially tuned driver units derived from technologies found in Sony’s acclaimed MDR-MV1 professional open-back studio monitor headphones. These custom drivers are paired with integrated back ducts that enhance bass response while maintaining clear separation between low, mid and high frequencies.

The result is a detailed and balanced audio presentation that delivers both powerful impact and precise positional awareness, making the headset suitable for everything from competitive multiplayer games to cinematic single-player adventures.
Sony’s Lightest Gaming Headset Yet
Comfort is another major focus of the INZONE H6 Air. Constructed with premium aluminium components, the headset weighs just 199g, making it the lightest gaming headset Sony has produced to date.

Despite its lightweight design, the H6 Air incorporates the same spring hinge headband structure found in Sony’s flagship INZONE H9 II headset. This design helps maintain stability and comfort while keeping the overall form factor compact.

The lightweight chassis and ergonomic construction are designed to reduce fatigue during marathon gaming sessions, allowing players to remain focused on the game for longer periods.
Special Audio Profile Developed with PlayStation Studios
To further enhance immersion, Sony collaborated with sound designers from PlayStation Studios to develop a dedicated “RPG/Adventure” equaliser profile.
Designed specifically for role-playing and adventure games, the profile recreates the acoustic characteristics of a professional sound studio, allowing players to experience richer environmental sounds, more realistic effects and deeper immersion in story-driven titles.

When connected through the included USB-C Audio Box and managed via the INZONE Hub software, the headset also supports virtual 7.1-channel surround sound with Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming technology.
Communication is handled through an adjustable cardioid boom microphone that focuses on the user’s voice while minimising unwanted background noise. The flexible microphone arm can be positioned precisely and remains securely in place throughout gameplay.
Fnatic-Inspired Gaming Accessories Arrive
Sony is also expanding its collaboration with global esports organisation Fnatic through new Fnatic Editions of several INZONE accessories.

The new lineup includes the INZONE Mouse-A, INZONE Mat-F and INZONE Mat-D, all featuring distinctive orange accents inspired by Fnatic’s iconic team colours.

The INZONE Mat-F mousepad features artwork influenced by Fnatic and its Valorant roster, while the INZONE Mat-D incorporates a bold black-to-orange gradient design.

The accessories are intended to bring a stronger esports-inspired aesthetic to gaming setups while celebrating the ongoing partnership between Sony and one of the world’s most recognised competitive gaming brands.
New Glass Purple INZONE Buds
Sony has also introduced a new Glass Purple version of its INZONE Buds wireless gaming earbuds.

The translucent finish adds a unique visual identity to the earbuds, joining the existing black and white options already available.

The new colourway allows gamers to choose a style that better reflects their personality while retaining the same low-latency wireless connectivity and active noise-cancelling features found in the original model.
