Swiss luxury watchmaker Girard-Perregaux has introduced the new Laureato Chronograph 42 mm, a refined sports chronograph that blends contemporary sporty styling with traditional Haute Horlogerie craftsmanship.
Announced in Singapore on 7 May 2026, the latest Laureato model revisits the two-tone aesthetic popularised during the 1970s, the same decade the original Laureato collection first debuted.
The new release combines steel, rose gold and a modern rubber strap design while maintaining the iconic geometric silhouette that has defined the Laureato line for decades.
A Modern Interpretation of the Classic Two-Tone Sports Watch
The Laureato Chronograph 42 mm features a 42mm tonneau-shaped case crafted from 904L steel, contrasted with warm rose gold accents applied to the iconic octagonal bezel, crown and chronograph pushers.
Instead of the traditional integrated steel bracelet, Girard-Perregaux has opted for a rubber strap featuring a Clou de Paris hobnail pattern, designed to improve comfort while giving the watch a more contemporary and sporty character.

The combination of brushed steel, polished surfaces and rose gold detailing creates a refined balance between casual everyday wearability and luxury finishing.
According to Girard-Perregaux, the watch is designed for enthusiasts who appreciate understated luxury and versatile elegance.
Brown Clou de Paris Dial Enhances the Watch’s Warm Character
The dial of the Laureato Chronograph 42 mm continues the watch’s focus on subtle sophistication.

Its brown Clou de Paris textured dial complements the rose gold accents while adding visual depth and texture. Girard-Perregaux says the dial reflects the brand’s commitment to fine detail, traditional craftsmanship and harmonious design.
The watch measures 12.16mm thick, allowing it to maintain a relatively slim and wearable profile despite housing a full chronograph movement.

Combined with the integrated rubber strap, the overall package is designed to deliver both elegance and all-day comfort on the wrist.
Powered by the Manufacture Calibre GP03300
Powering the watch is the in-house Calibre GP03300, a manufacture movement visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

The movement showcases a range of traditional Haute Horlogerie finishing techniques. Girard-Perregaux says these details reflect the Maison’s long-standing expertise in movement manufacturing dating back to 1791.
The movement is designed to balance reliability, precision and aesthetic craftsmanship, reinforcing the Laureato’s role as both a luxury sports watch and a serious horological creation.
The Laureato Continues Its Legacy Since 1975
Originally launched in 1975, the Laureato has become one of Girard-Perregaux’s most recognisable collections, known for its integrated sports watch design and distinctive octagonal bezel mounted on a circular base.

The watch’s signature design language combines angular geometry with polished curves, creating a timeless silhouette that has evolved steadily across generations without losing its identity.
With the new Laureato Chronograph 42 mm, the brand continues to modernise the collection while staying closely tied to its heritage in Swiss haute horlogerie craftsmanship.
