Sennheiser has announced its most significant firmware update yet for the AMBEO Soundbar | Max, bringing a host of new features that elevate immersion, clarity, and audio fidelity.
The free upgrade, dubbed AMBEO | OS2, enhances the flagship soundbar’s already award-winning performance, making it an even stronger choice for movie lovers, audiophiles, and anyone seeking premium home entertainment.
A New Era of Immersive Sound
The AMBEO | OS2 update introduces customizable immersion controls, allowing listeners to fine-tune the balance of side, top, and centre channel virtualisation.
Whether watching an action-packed blockbuster, streaming a live concert, or gaming, users can now tailor the 3D sound experience to their exact preferences and the content at hand.
Lossless Audio, Expanded
For music fans, AMBEO | OS2 extends high-resolution, lossless audio support. Native Dolby Atmos Music (via Tidal) is now joined by:
● Up to 24-bit / 96 kHz audio streaming via Google Cast for Audio
● Up to 24-bit / 192 kHz playback through Tidal Connect
This ensures that listeners can enjoy their favourite tracks with studio-grade clarity and depth.
Dialogue That Cuts Through the Mix
Another highlight of the update is a new Voice Enhancement Mode, which ensures speech remains clear and intelligible even when explosions, music, or crowd noise dominate the soundtrack.
