A New Kind of Glow: Introducing Lichtblock™
After nearly two years of experimentation, Kollokium debuts Lichtblock™, a ceramic-resin composite densely infused with Super-LumiNova.
This isn’t your standard lume—each Projekt 01 Variant “F” uses the equivalent amount of lume found in 500 traditionally treated dials. The result: a fully lit dial where all 488 pins glow with remarkable intensity and consistency, regardless of size.
It’s an ambitious technical feat, pushing the boundaries of luminosity, material translucency, and design cohesion.
The Violet Statement: Dial Design Reimagined
Departing from the 12 pixel-style hour markers of the original Projekt 01, Variant “F” features a new three-section dial layout, combining symmetry and abstraction. Dense clusters of Lichtblock™ pins mark the even hours, while circular, spoked motifs fill the rest of the space.
The dial itself is an intense matte violet, with a finish that shimmers from near-black to deep indigo to ultraviolet under changing light. Each pin is hand-applied, underscoring Kollokium’s dedication to craftsmanship even within its industrial, brutalist aesthetic.
Limited Edition Brilliance
Limited to just 399 pieces, the Kollokium Projekt 01 Variant “F” continues the spirit of the original “Friends, Family & Fools” edition—but this time, with a glowing twist. Only five pieces will be available at Capsule, Watches of Switzerland’s newest concept boutique.
With its die-cast steel case, box sapphire crystal, and signature Kollokium design language, the Variant “F” stands as a beacon of design-centric watchmaking and luminous ambition.
