Innovation has long been the beating heart of Hublot, and its latest breakthrough is nothing short of historic. Introducing the Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic, the world’s first watch made of multi-coloured ceramic—a feat once thought impossible. This vibrant limited edition marks a new chapter in watchmaking, where material science and artistic expression collide in the most spectacular way.
Dubbed “Magic Ceramic”, Hublot’s new material is the result of over four years of dedicated research and development. The challenge? Achieving a seamless fusion of multiple vivid colours within ceramic, a notoriously difficult material to manipulate due to the varying temperatures and conditions required to stabilise different pigments. Where others failed, Hublot triumphed. And in doing so, it rewrites the rules of what ceramic can be.
The debut model of this multicoloured ceramic, the Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic, is limited to just 20 pieces. It features a dark grey ceramic bezel and a case adorned with bold, intense blue circular patterns arranged in a free-form, organic style—evoking the feel of contemporary abstract or pop art. The effect is more than eye-catching; it’s mesmerizing, with every detail hinting at the sophistication behind the manufacturing process, which is currently pending patent.
Beyond the aesthetics lies Hublot’s signature performance. Powering the watch is the UNICO automatic flyback chronograph movement, entirely conceived, developed, and manufactured in-house. Finished in a grey tone that complements the ceramic exterior, the movement is housed in a 45mm case and paired with a sleek, black rubber strap for a modern and refined finish.
Hublot has long been a pioneer in materials innovation—from coloured sapphire to scratch-resistant 18K Magic Gold—and with Magic Ceramic, the brand has once again proven it leads where others follow.
