Aston Martin has taken an unexpected detour into gaming with the unveiling of the Dreadnought, a digital-only tactical SUV created exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Developed in collaboration with Infinity Ward and Activision, the one-of-a-kind vehicle blends the British marque’s unmistakable design language with the intense combat environments of one of gaming’s biggest franchises.
Aston Martin, Reinvented for War
Freed from the limitations of real-world engineering, Aston Martin’s design team imagined what the brand could become in a virtual battlefield.

The result is Dreadnought—a heavily armoured all-wheel-drive SUV that combines supercar-inspired performance with military-grade capability.

Designed specifically for the physics and gameplay of Modern Warfare 4, Dreadnought is built to dominate every digital environment, whether navigating war-torn city streets or powering through rugged off-road terrain. Despite its tactical purpose, it remains unmistakably Aston Martin, complete with the thunderous soundtrack of a V12 engine.
Luxury Meets Combat Capability
Dreadnought isn’t simply an armoured vehicle wrapped in Aston Martin styling. It brings together elements from both worlds, combining adaptive combat intelligence systems, advanced armour technology and optimised aerodynamics with the craftsmanship expected from the ultra-luxury marque.

Look closer, and the details reveal Aston Martin’s signature touches. Exterior carbon fibre features an intricate herringbone weave, while the cabin incorporates Oxford Tan leather accents, metallic gold trim and premium finishes. These luxurious elements sit alongside features rarely associated with the brand, including military-grade armour plating, enlarged fuel reserves and bespoke weapons storage.
The result is a vehicle that feels equally at home outside a luxury hotel or charging through an active combat zone.
Why “Dreadnought”?
The name carries historical significance beyond its dictionary meaning of “fear nothing.” It also pays tribute to HMS Dreadnought, the revolutionary British battleship that transformed naval warfare in the early 20th century. Just as the original warship redefined military engineering, Aston Martin’s digital SUV aims to set a new benchmark for virtual performance vehicles.

That philosophy extends throughout the design. Finished in Aston Martin’s iconic Chiltern Green, Dreadnought features authentic materials and engineering cues including a carbon fibre chassis and Satin Gold anodised door hinges, reinforcing the brand’s pursuit of luxury craftsmanship even in a virtual environment.
Built for the Next Generation of Fans
Beyond creating a striking in-game vehicle, Aston Martin views Dreadnought as part of a broader strategy to introduce the brand to younger audiences through gaming.

According to Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification at Aston Martin, expanding into interactive entertainment allows the marque to engage with future luxury consumers in entirely new ways. Rather than simply placing a car inside a game, Dreadnought serves as a digital expression of Aston Martin’s design philosophy for players who may be experiencing the brand for the first time.
Infinity Ward shares that vision. The development team worked closely with Aston Martin to ensure every aspect—from concept sketches and geometry to vehicle handling and in-game physics—delivered an authentic driving experience while remaining true to the gameplay demands of Modern Warfare 4.
Coming to the Battlefield This October
Players will be able to discover Dreadnought at key locations within both DMZ and Warzone modes when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches.

Before then, fans attending Fanatics Fest in New York will have the opportunity to see a full-size physical model of the digital SUV displayed at the Call of Duty stand—bringing Aston Martin’s virtual creation into the real world.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches globally on 23 October 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC (Battle.net, Xbox on PC and Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2.
