The iconic Swiss Maison from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Girard-Perregaux, has answered the requests of devoted GP lovers with the release of two exquisite new Laureato 38mm steel models. Available in Sage Green and Midnight Blue, these timepieces pay homage to the much-loved design codes of the Laureato, first introduced in 1975. Both watches blend heritage, craftsmanship, and modernity, and house a refined in-house movement designed to complement their distinctive aesthetic.
Sleek Design with Universal Appeal
The new Laureato 38mm models are tailored for contemporary tastes, boasting a slender design and optimally engineered bracelets that elegantly wrap around both male and female wrists. Thoughtful attention has been given to the play of lines and curves, ensuring exceptional comfort and a flawless visual harmony between the bracelet, caseback, and wearer’s skin.
Both versions showcase Girard-Perregaux’s hallmark Clous de Paris textured dial, luminescent baton-type hands and indexes, and a colour-coordinated date display at 3 o’clock. The Sage Green model features a rich golden hue for the GP logo and centre second hand, offering a warm, refined aesthetic.
In contrast, the Midnight Blue version displays its GP logo and seconds hand in a sleek silver shade, evoking a cool, understated elegance. The dials also play beautifully with light—shifting from subtle greys to vibrant royal blue, depending on the angle, further enhancing their timeless allure.
An Enduring Laureato Legacy
These new references uphold the legendary Laureato design, instantly recognizable by the iconic octagonal bezel atop a circular plinth and tonneau-shaped case.
The polished and satin finishes alternate across the case and integrated bracelet, ensuring a sophisticated interplay of textures. Completing the design is a folding clasp, guaranteeing security and unmatched comfort on the wrist.
Precision Within: The GP03300 Calibre
At the heart of both models beats the GP03300 calibre, a self-winding movement crafted entirely in-house at Girard-Perregaux’s La Chaux-de-Fonds facility.
This exceptional movement features a pink gold oscillating weight adorned with a circular Côtes de Genève motif, while additional finishing touches include bevelling, circular graining, mirror-polished screws, and engraved gilded text. These refinements reflect the Maison’s uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and precision.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 38mm in Sage Green and Midnight Blue are available now, retailing at SGD 22,000 (including tax).
