Alongside the awards, Apple also revealed the year’s most downloaded apps and games on the App Store, showcasing the digital tools and entertainment that captivated users worldwide.

The App Store Awards recognized standout developers across Apple’s ecosystem, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro, for delivering exceptional design, innovation, and user experience. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, praised the winners: “The remarkable achievements of this year’s winners demonstrate the incredible ingenuity that can be unlocked through apps.”

Top Downloaded Apps and Games of 2024
Apple also shared the most downloaded apps and games, offering insights into the year’s digital trends.
Top Free iPhone Apps were dominated by CapCut – Video Editor, TikTok, and ChatGPT, reflecting users’ growing interest in content creation, social connectivity, and AI tools. On the paid apps front, Shadowrocket and Forest: Focus for Productivity secured the top spots.
Gaming remained a massive driver, with Free Fire MAX and Minecraft claiming the top free and paid iPhone game titles, respectively.
For iPad users, ChatGPT topped the free app chart, followed by Goodnotes 6 and YouTube, while Procreate continued its reign as the top paid app. In gaming, Roblox led the free charts, while Minecraft dominated the paid category.
