Today, many TWS devices rely on the standard DAC in their Bluetooth modules, emphasizing power efficiency over sound excellence. In contrast, the UW1000 MK II fuses Astell&Kern’s distinct amplifier and audio tech with an Asahi Kasei AKM 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC. This merger promises superior sound compared to regular wireless earbuds that utilize only the inbuilt BT-chipset DAC.
The UW100 MK II boasts enhanced sound clarity across all musical genres, thanks to its use of Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers, commonly found in premium IEMs, rather than the standard Dynamic Drivers.
Astell&Kern has refined the original UW100 design in its UW100 MK II model. The BA driver’s position is reoriented for better audio detail delivery. Several adjustments were made to the acoustic chamber structure and mesh size, optimizing sound output. This revamped design ensures minimized sound diffusion, yielding a finer and more dynamic audio output.
Thanks to a decade of sound expertise, the UW100 MK II showcases Astell&Kern’s innovative AMP and circuit tech, enhancing the separation between digital and analogue components of the earphone, thus ensuring superior noise reduction.
