Review: iPad Pro, supercharged by the M2 chip

CREATIVITY UNLEASHED
A complete movie studio in your hands that features a high-performance media engine

The newest technology addition to the iPad Pro is the M2 chip. With an 8-core CPU that performs up to 15% quicker and a 10-core GPU that produces graphics up to 35% faster, the M2 chip is the next generation of Apple technology. M2 upgrades the iPad Pro with astounding performance and additional features. This means that games run at higher frame rates with better graphics, and visuals are life-like. Imagine enjoying these, with all-day battery life.

It is a complete movie studio in your hands. The high-performance media engine on M2 accelerates ProRes encoding and decoding. I can convert video projects to ProRes up to three times faster than before.

iPad Pro also features an Ultra Wide camera with a 12MP sensor and a 122-degree field of view. On the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, there is a high dynamic range. The Liquid Retina XDR display delivers true-to-life detail with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and is great for viewing and editing HDR photos and videos, or enjoying your favourite movies and TV programmes.

The 11-inch iPad Pro’s Liquid Retina display uses very cutting-edge technologies in addition to being beautiful and portable. Such as ProMotion, True Tone and ultra-low reflectivity, which make everything feel responsive and appear gorgeous.

For productivity, the iPad Pro has also outdone itself. The iPad’s 16 gives me powerful new ways to do more than ever. Added with the magic keyboard, the desktop-class apps made my workday a lot more productive. With the stage manager, I can multitask and resize the windows to just how I like them. The Magic Keyboard features a responsive typing experience and a built-in trackpad that gives me many more ways to work with iPadOS.

iPad has always been uniquely portable with super-fast Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity options. With Wi-Fi 6E, you’ve got the fastest wireless connection available. I get faster transfers of photos, documents and large video files. With the apple pencil, I can sketch and illustrate with even greater precision. The apple pencil was also my best companion when it comes to sketching.

Overall, the iPad Pro has greatly improved my workflow, and it’s a companion I cannot do without in my daily life. The 11” display gives you an immersive and portable experience. And the 12.9” XDR display is a stunning and expansive way to view HDR content.
