Montblanc has updated the Summit smartwatch with the release of its second version built for work, leisure, fitness and travel.
The first thing that should draw your attention to this pricey wearable is the fact that the Summit 2 is the first luxury smartwatch to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset.
The 42mm case maintains the look and feel of a classic Montblanc mechanical watch, but the Summit 2 is powered Google’s Wear OS. However, the watch will still be compatible with iOS and Android smartphones.
Another great aspect of the Summit 2 is the customisability. There are 70,000 unique looks to create – you can change straps, bezels and watch faces depending on personal preferences.
On top of that, there are useful built-in apps like the Timeshifter; which helps to manage jet lag, Travel Info app; which provides local traveller information, and the exclusive Montblanc Running Coach app, which sets and tracks personalised fitness goals.
Topping off the improved Summit smartwatch are features like water resistance up to 5 ATM, a 340mAh battery that can last up to one week (in time mode only), 1.2-inch circle AMOLED display, 8GB storage, heart rate monitor, GPS, a rotating crown and NFC Pay, among other things.
The Montblanc Summit 2 is available now at the brand’s boutique stores and prices start frlom $1,495. For more information, visit the official website.
