The golden age of arcade gaming is getting another lease of life on PC. H2 Interactive has launched IGS Classic Arcade Collection worldwide via Steam, bringing together eight titles from Taiwanese developer International Games System (IGS) in a single package.
Rather than simply presenting the games as pieces of arcade history, the collection adds several modern conveniences designed to make them easier to enjoy today — whether you remember feeding coins into arcade cabinets or are discovering these titles for the first time.
Eight Arcade Classics in One Collection
The collection is led by the Knights of Valour series, with Knights of Valour: Super Heroes, Knights of Valour Plus and Knights of Valour 2 – Nine Dragons all included.
They are joined by Oriental Legend, Oriental Legend Spooky, Martial Masters, Demon Front and The Gladiator, creating a varied selection of IGS titles centred around the fast-paced action that defined the arcade experience.
Importantly, the games have been recreated to retain the gameplay and atmosphere of their original arcade releases rather than being extensively reworked for modern audiences.
Bring Some Friends Along
Part of the appeal of arcade gaming was playing alongside friends, and IGS Classic Arcade Collection retains that social element.
Depending on the game, players can take part in local or online multiplayer for up to four players, making it possible to tackle the action together without needing to gather around an actual arcade cabinet.
