Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 Series, its most intuitive AI-powered smartphone lineup to date. Designed to make everyday tasks simpler and more seamless, the new generation brings together cutting-edge hardware, an industry-leading camera system and advanced Galaxy AI to reduce the steps between intent and action. As Samsung’s third-generation AI phones, the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra are built to quietly handle complex tasks in the background, letting users focus on outcomes, not processes.

At the heart of the Galaxy S26 Series is Samsung’s most advanced integration of performance, intelligent imaging and AI experiences. The result is a device users can confidently rely on throughout the day, backed by strong security and privacy safeguards.
Slimmer, Faster and Built for AI
The Galaxy S26 Series is powered by Samsung’s most capable hardware ever in a Galaxy S device, anchored by a customised chipset engineered for AI performance, efficiency and thermal stability. Leading the lineup, the Galaxy S26 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, delivering significant improvements across CPU, GPU and NPU performance.

With up to 19% faster CPU speeds, 39% enhanced NPU capabilities and 24% stronger GPU performance compared to its predecessor, the S26 Ultra handles multitasking, gaming and AI-driven features more smoothly than ever. A redesigned vapour chamber improves heat dissipation, keeping performance stable even during demanding tasks like 4K video recording or extended gameplay. Super-Fast Charging 3.0 also enables the device to reach up to 75% battery in just 30 minutes.

Samsung’s proprietary visual technologies further enhance the experience. ProScaler sharpens fine details and text clarity, while the upgraded mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) produces more lifelike colours with four times the precision of the previous generation.
A Camera System That Simplifies Creativity
The Galaxy S26 Series continues Samsung’s leadership in mobile photography with its most advanced camera system yet. On the S26 Ultra, wider apertures allow more light to reach the sensors, delivering clearer, more detailed images in low-light conditions, even when zoomed in. Enhanced Nightography Video ensures brighter, more vibrant footage in dim environments, from concerts to evening gatherings.

Upgraded Super Steady stabilisation now includes a horizontal lock option for more consistent framing during fast-moving shots. The S26 Ultra also introduces support for APV, a new professional video standard designed to deliver efficient compression while preserving visually lossless quality, ideal for creators who edit extensively.

AI-powered editing tools are deeply integrated into everyday workflows. The enhanced Photo Assist suite allows users to describe edits in natural language, from changing day to night scenes to restoring missing details or even adjusting outfits. Edits can be reviewed and refined step by step, making the creative process fluid rather than final. Creative Studio further streamlines content creation, enabling users to transform sketches or prompts into stickers, invitations or wallpapers without switching apps.
Galaxy AI That Works Proactively
With the Galaxy S26 Series, AI becomes more contextual and proactive. Features like Now Nudge offer timely suggestions, such as surfacing trip photos when a friend asks for them, without requiring manual searches. Now Brief delivers personalised reminders based on context, from travel updates to reservations, helping users stay organised throughout the day.

Circle to Search with Google now supports enhanced multi-object recognition, allowing users to explore multiple elements within an image at once. Meanwhile, Bixby has evolved into a more conversational device agent capable of understanding natural language instructions without precise commands.

Beyond Bixby, users can integrate additional AI agents such as Gemini and Perplexity. With a single button press or voice prompt, Galaxy S26 can complete multi-step tasks, such as booking a ride, in the background, streamlining actions across apps.
Privacy at the Pixel Level
As AI becomes more personal, Samsung is reinforcing protection at every layer. The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces Privacy Display, an integrated solution that limits side-angle visibility while maintaining full clarity for the user. Unlike traditional privacy films, it is built directly into the display and can be customised to activate automatically during sensitive activities like PIN entry or selected app usage.

AI-powered Call Screening summarises unknown callers’ intent, while Privacy Alerts notify users when apps attempt to access sensitive data such as location or contacts. A new Private Album feature allows photos and videos to be hidden directly within the Gallery without separate folders or logins.

Samsung also expands its post-quantum cryptography (PQC) protection to critical system processes, reinforcing firmware integrity and device verification for future threats. These enhancements are supported by Samsung Knox, delivering multi-layer protection from chip to cloud. With seven years of security updates, the Galaxy S26 Series is built for long-term reliability.
