Homegrown kids tech brand myFirst has officially unveiled its most advanced instant camera yet, the myFirst Camera Insta Lux. While instant cameras have long been loved for turning everyday moments into physical keepsakes, they’ve often fallen short in print quality and durability.

The Insta Lux aims to change that by pairing the speed of instant photography with dye-sublimation printing technology. Instead of relying on traditional light-sensitive film, it uses heat to layer colours onto photo paper, finishing each print with a protective coating. The result is vibrant, high-quality photos that are both waterproof and fingerprint-resistant, built to last for years. Whether it’s birthday parties, family gatherings or casual day trips, the Insta Lux offers a simple way to turn memories into lasting mementoes on the spot.

At its core is a 5MP camera with Smart Exposure, designed to automatically deliver well-balanced shots across different lighting conditions, from bright outdoor scenes to dimmer indoor environments. Users can also personalise their photos with a range of creative frames and filters, making each print feel a little more unique.

The camera comes equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, allowing it to connect to the myFirst Circle app. This means users can print photos directly from their smartphone gallery, making it easy to bring older digital memories into the physical world. A 2.8-inch IPS colour screen lets users preview shots before printing, helping to avoid wasted prints, while dual lenses, including a selfie camera, offer more flexibility when shooting. An ergonomic shutter button with an integrated LED flash further enhances usability, especially in low-light situations.

Retailing at S$239, the Insta Lux is geared towards families and young creators looking for a fuss-free way to capture and print everyday moments. Its straightforward point-and-shoot design keeps things simple, making it accessible even for first-time users.

Refill packs are priced at S$19.90 for two cartridges, delivering up to 20 prints, roughly S$1 per photo. The cartridge system is designed for easy replacement, so users can keep printing with minimal interruption.
Available in Cotton Candy Mix and Grey, the myFirst Camera Insta Lux can be found at the myFirst digital store, the myFirst Suntec Experience Store, and POPULAR Bookstores nationwide.
To mark its launch, POPULAR Bookstore members can enjoy a special in-store price of S$219, with refill film available at S$17.90.
