The watch designed to monitor every global time zone is rapidly gaining traction worldwide. Over recent years, OMEGA’s Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer has increasingly become the favoured watch for global travellers and avid collectors. OMEGA is now broadening the Worldtimer series with three new versions: one made of titanium with a laser-ablated dial and two impressive stainless steel variants.
All three models are equipped with durable ceramic bezels and feature the distinctive Worldtimer display. At the dial’s heart, OMEGA presents an image of Earth as viewed from the North Pole, using laser ablation to create continents and colours on a grade 5 titanium base. The entire landscape of the watch, although imperceptible to the unaided eye, has a dome shape, reflecting Earth’s curvature. A 24-hour indicator encircles the map, split into nighttime and daytime sections under hesalite glass.
The city names on the outer ring, including OMEGA’s hometown of BIENNE, Switzerland, are mostly coloured in yellow gold for the stainless steel models. LONDON stands out in red, symbolizing Greenwich Mean Time or now Universal Time Coordinated (UTC).
For OMEGA’s President and CEO, Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann, these new releases embody innovation and inspiration. He commends the watches for their groundbreaking design and technology, labelling them as true collector’s items that evoke a spirit of exploration.
The Titanium Worldtimer is a robust 43mm timepiece made of durable, lightweight titanium. OMEGA crafted its entire black and grey dial, excluding the LONDON word, using laser technology. This watch also features a black ceramic bezel, blackened hands and indexes, and a black rubber strap with grey stitching and a titanium clasp.
For those who prefer a classic touch, there are two stainless steel models. One comes with a matching stainless steel bracelet, while the other has an integrated green rubber strap. Both 43mm stainless steel watches boast a green PVD sun-brushed dial, encased by a polished green ceramic bezel and accentuated with 18K Moonshine™ Gold hands and indexes.
Each Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, complying with the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology’s (METAS) rigorous precision standards. Additionally, these watches can withstand water pressures up to 15 bar (150 meters / 500 feet).
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer is retailing at SGD$17,900.00.
