Alienware achieved new milestones with the introduction of the most powerful 17″ AMD Advantage laptop and the first use of the standard-defying 480Hz screen technology. The m17 R5 is the result of a collaboration with AMD and has AMD RadeonTM RX 6000 series graphics, RyzenTM 6000 series processors, and new AMD Smart Technologies. The new AMD RadeonTM RX 6850M XT 12GB GDDR6 GPU has been added to the configuration lineup.

480Hz displays are available with Alienware m17 R5 and Alienware x17 R2 gaming laptops. The FHD (1920 x 1080) 480Hz 3ms panels offer a wide range of gaming advantages, such as animation smoothness for simpler target tracking, ghosting reduction to minimize distracting effects, and lower system latency to make it simpler for users to identify other players sooner.
