PRISM+ Symphony Immerses Us In Premium Surround Sound

TV speakers these days (mine included) have to work within the constraints of their flat screen, making their function limited. With a soundbar, it is more than mere aesthetics. It achieves a premium surround sound experience that most TVs are incapable of delivering. Hence, I couldn’t wait to pair PRISM+’s Symphony soundbar with my TV and immerse myself in my movies.

The soundbar has a full suite of 11 speakers and an 8” subwoofer. Although it was my first time pairing a soundbar to my TV, the connection process was seamless. Just plug it into a power source! The wireless subwoofer also automatically pairs with the soundbar. My first reaction to the sound was: LOUD. It was loud, with the bass booming and clear audio playing. I had my friends over, put on an action-packed Netflix show, dimmed the lights, and voila – my living room became a home theatre.

With its latest Dolby Atmos Technology, it was a 3D cinematic experience and my friends even commented that action scenes and fight scenes in movies became even more realistic. Its 5.1.2ch surround sound provides even more multidimensional sounds with more depth, clarity, and details.

As the 8″ subwoofer is wireless, I could place it in the most optimal position for my setup, where my friends and I are right in the centre of the sound. If you like it loud, its strong bass makes us even more immersed in the movies and music, setting the vibe and filling up the room. There was also no lag between audio and video (which can get really annoying), as it uses HDMI eARC that passes lossless 3D sound formats.

Since I was hosting a mini-party with my friends, no party would be complete without some acoustic music to vibe to. While we were playing games, I connected the soundbar to my phone by Bluetooth and played songs in the background to liven up the mood. Check out this video below to hear how the soundbar sounds!

With multiple connectivity options, all of my devices are seamlessly connected either through Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connections, HDMI, or HDR10+. There were also multiple audio profiles I can choose from, where they are optimised for different content formats. We used the movie, music, news, sport, and gaming presets when we were switching between our different programmes.

Although it comes with a remote to increase bass/ treble level, equaliser (EQ) effect, pause, play, or skip, I can also sync it with my TV remote using an HDMI-ARC connection. This reduces the hassle of using 2 separate controls.

At a price point of $699 (U.P.$1299), the sound quality is excellent. It definitely lives up to its specs. Especially if you are a fan of loud basses, you would definitely enjoy the Symphony soundbar. For more information, check it out here
