Louis Erard is adding a splash of colour to the 2340, introducing two new dial variations — Mauve and Forest — that give its first integrated-bracelet model a fresh visual identity.
Rather than reinventing the watch, the Swiss brand has focused on changing one of its most expressive elements. The underlying architecture of the 2340 remains intact, but new colours, patterns and textures give each version a noticeably different personality.
An Integrated Design
The 2340 was conceived around a sense of visual continuity, with its case and bracelet designed to work together rather than appear as separate elements.
At its heart is a custom-designed integrated bracelet paired with a slim hybrid case that combines titanium and polished stainless steel. Titanium brings lightness to the construction, while polished steel introduces contrasting precision and refinement.
One of the more distinctive details is the use of polished gadroons along the case flanks. Beyond their decorative role, they help conceal the bracelet connection, creating a cleaner transition between case and bracelet.
The result is a watch in which materials, shapes and finishing have been considered as parts of a single design language.
Mauve Brings a Softer Dimension
The first of the two new interpretations takes the 2340 in a more playful direction.
The Louis Erard 2340 Mauve features a luminous purple dial decorated with a stamped pattern of oblong, pill-shaped forms.
The rounded geometry adds texture and a sense of volume to the dial without overwhelming the restrained architecture of the watch itself.
It is a relatively small design change, but one that demonstrates how colour and surface treatment can alter the overall character of an otherwise familiar watch.
Forest Goes Deeper and More Graphic
The 2340 Forest takes a different approach.
Its deep green dial is crossed by horizontal lines, creating a more structured and graphic appearance. Where Mauve emphasises softness and rounded forms, Forest uses linear detailing to give the dial greater visual depth and definition.
The two watches therefore share the same fundamental architecture while presenting distinctly different personalities: Mauve is softer and more dimensional, while Forest feels darker and more architectural.
That contrast reflects the philosophy behind the additions. Louis Erard has not relied on dramatic changes to create something new. Instead, the brand demonstrates how a carefully considered detail — in this case, the dial — can reshape the perception of the entire watch.
