Samsung has expanded its popular Galaxy A series in Singapore with the launch of the new Galaxy A27 5G, bringing a larger immersive display, upgraded performance and enhanced AI-powered features to more users. Building on the success of the Galaxy A26 5G, the latest smartphone focuses on delivering practical improvements that make everyday tasks simpler, smarter and more enjoyable without compromising affordability.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy A27 5G reflects the company’s commitment to making meaningful innovation accessible to a wider audience. As smartphones continue to play an increasingly important role in work, learning and entertainment, the device introduces thoughtful upgrades across display quality, performance and intelligent software features designed to improve the overall user experience.
One of the most noticeable enhancements is the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which now features a smoother 120Hz refresh rate for more fluid scrolling, gaming and video playback. Samsung has also adopted an upgraded Infinity-O display, replacing the previous notch with a discreet punch-hole camera design. Combined with slimmer, more balanced bezels, the result is a cleaner viewing experience that allows users to focus on content with fewer visual distractions. Despite the larger screen, the Galaxy A27 5G maintains a slim 7.8mm profile, making it comfortable to hold throughout the day.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, offering faster everyday performance whether users are multitasking, switching between apps or enjoying mobile games. Improved GPU performance delivers smoother graphics for gaming and streaming, while faster memory contributes to better responsiveness and greater power efficiency during daily use.
Photography also receives an upgrade with a new 12MP front-facing camera, designed to capture more natural-looking selfies with improved colour accuracy and a wider dynamic range in different lighting conditions. Combined with Samsung’s image processing technology, users can expect clearer and more vibrant self-portraits whether indoors or outdoors.
Keeping everything running is a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 23 hours of video playback on a single charge. When battery levels run low, Super Fast Charging can replenish up to 45% of the battery in just 30 minutes, allowing users to spend less time charging and more time using their device.
Artificial intelligence plays a much bigger role on the Galaxy A27 5G thanks to Samsung’s expanding Awesome Intelligence suite. Circle to Search with Google has been upgraded to recognise multiple objects simultaneously, allowing users to search for outfits, accessories and other items within a single image using one simple gesture. Users can even virtually try on clothing directly from search results, making online shopping more interactive.
Editing photos has also become easier with an improved Object Eraser, which removes unwanted people or objects more accurately while producing more natural-looking results. Meanwhile, Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app can now translate spoken conversations as they are transcribed, supporting 22 languages and making it useful for meetings, lectures and multilingual conversations.
The Galaxy A27 5G also offers greater flexibility by supporting multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini, Perplexity and Samsung’s own Bixby, which now functions as a conversational device agent capable of controlling settings and features through natural language commands. Deeper AI integration across native Galaxy apps, including Gallery, further streamlines everyday interactions.
Samsung is also continuing its long-term software support commitment. The Galaxy A27 5G will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, alongside six years of security updates, helping users keep their devices secure and up to date for years to come. Security is reinforced through Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, providing hardware-backed protection for sensitive personal data.
Available now in Singapore are Black, Blue and Light Pink, and the Galaxy A27 5G comes in two storage options: 128GB for S$418 and 256GB for S$498.
